“I should have protected you properly, but now you’re in danger because of me.” Theo pressed my head against his chest even more.

I could not see his expression clearly, but I could feel the guilt and unrest that was almost drowning me from his entire body. I wrapped my arms around his waist. “You’ve done a good job, Theo. I didn’t suffer a single scratch from this incident, and neither did the children.”
