Theo was already at the restaurant when Neil and I arrived.

He was still dressed the same as he had been during the day, but his temperament seemed to have changed.

He was very different when he was resting compared to when he was at work.

He seemed much softer now, but the words ‘no strangers allowed’ were still written on his face.

"Theo, let me introduce you to Neil Hendersohn. We met when I was living in Susan’s apartment.”

I wonder if it had been my hallucination, but it felt like Theo's expression changed when he saw Neil. However, it disappeared in an instant.

Theo stood up, the corners of his mouth curling upward. "Hello, I'm Theo Grant."

"Hello, President Grant. I’ve admired you for a long time." Neil had been nervous since the start. He grasped Theo's hand in his own for a long time, not letting go.

I let out a few coughs to pull him back to the present. Why was the atmosphere so weird? I asked them to take their seats and then sat down next to Theo. "Neil often comforted me during that time. He’s a very good friend.”

"Oh, is that so?" Theo was expressionless, but his tone carried a chill. There was also a chill in his gaze that was directed at Neil.

Neil lowered his eyes, most likely beaten back by Theo's gaze. "I just saw that Wanda was—"

"Wanda?" Theo repeated my name when he heard Neil referring to me as such. His gaze upon him was even sharper now.

"Ah, no, I meant Madam Grant." Neil changed his address immediately. "She didn’t look like she was in a good mood, so I just offered her a few words of comfort. Nothing else." He waved his hands repeatedly as he explained.

Why was Theo being so fierce with Neil?

"Theo, he’s my friend. Please be nice," I whispered to Theo in a hushed voice.

“I know.”

Our food arrived at the table slowly. Neil looked very reserved. He did not seem as relaxed as he was before. Could it be because of Theo?

Smiling lightly, I asked, "Is the food not to your liking?"

Thinking to no avail, I gave up. I might as well ask Theo about the situation after dinner rather than guess.

This meal ended while I chatted with Neil.

We left the restaurant together. Since I brought Neil over, I suggested sending him back, but he refused. “No need. I’ll just take a taxi back.”

“How could I allow you to do that? I’m the one who brought you here.”

“But—”

“Come back after you send him bac,” Theo said.

I nodded. “Alright. Neil, let’s go.”

Since Theo did not seem to mind it, Neil no longer tried to refuse me either and got into my car.
