"I'm back."

Putting on my slippers, I habitually swept a glance at the sofa and saw Theo waiting for me.

Seeing the smile on my face, Theo could obviously tell my joy. "Happy?”

I nodded. "Yes."

"Is it now settled?"

"Yeah, I made up with Marius tonight." I sat down and snuggled up next to Theo.

Theo reached out and caressed my head. "I'm happy you guys made up. I'm jealous now."

There was a hint of childishness in his tone, and I could not stop my smile from deepening. "Oh, you. What’s there to be jealous of friends?"

I rarely behaved so coquettishly in front of him, so Theo's anger quickly subsided when he heard that. "Enough. Nibel will be coming over to the company for a meeting tomorrow. Shall we go together?"

"There's no rush. Our priority now is to cultivate our relationship as husband and wife. Let's go!" Theo suddenly picked me up and went upstairs. The sense of security I felt in his arms was unmatched.

Standing behind Marius, I tried to give Shannon a meaningful glance that she should accept the out when it was now given.

Shannon coughed dryly. "Fine, but you have to treat Wanda and me to dinner at the most expensive restaurant."

"Okay, okay. Dinner it is."

Marius was truly a gentleman. He knew when to give and take and knew that this peace hinged on his humility.

"Alright, everyone. We're now friends again. Nina has been so busy with her wedding that we have a design vacancy. Marius, you're up." I patted his shoulder.

"Why me?" He looked at me bitterly.

"You said it yourself that you're a one-man show. You'll be compensated when Nina returns," Shannon replied.

Marius sighed at that. "Indeed the most brilliant of minds are the ones who have to carry the banner."

I met Shannon's gaze and smiled…
