We passed Nibel and Keith when we were leading Shannon away, and they obviously saw us.

When I looked over at them, a trace of panic flashed across Keith's calm visage.

Why… would he panic?

I did not have the chance to think too much about this, though. I had to take Shannon and leave this place.

Shannon was still spitting a few words on the way. I sighed and replied, "It won't be good for the child if she goes back like this. You should let Shannon stay a night at your place for the night."

"Alright," Marius replied easily.

After we settled Shannon at Marius' apartment, both of us sat down on the sofa to rest.

Recalling Jordan's cold expression back at the bar, my mood worsened.

"I didn't think Jordan was this kind of person."

When he accepted Shannon back then, I thought he had truly fallen for her to have gotten together with her and married her. Now, he said he did not love her. What the heck was that?!

"If he didn't love her, he shouldn't have married her and have had a child with her only to regret it. He even chose to divorce her. How can you men be like this?!" I cursed lowly.

Marius heard me and hurriedly waved his hand. "Not all men are like that. I'm a pretty good man. I'm very serious when it comes to feelings."

I looked at him expressionlessly. "Either way, Jordan is an idiot."

"Alright, Sis Wan. Don't be angry anymore, it's not good to be angry at night. Will you not go home? It's pretty late now," Marius reminded me while looking at the watch on his wrist.

"I should. I'll leave Shannon to you, then."

"Don't worry. Wasn't I the one who took care of her the last time?"

At that mention, it seemed that the problem between Shannon and Jordan had already been occurring back then. She did not tell me about it probably because she was worried it might affect work.

I sighed again.

"Sis Wan, if you keep sighing, you'll attract bad luck. You should smile to attract good things." Marius put his fingers on the corners of my mouth and pushed lightly, forming a smile.

I lowered my head. Marius really knew how to make people happy.

"He probably doesn't love her."

Sure enough, men understood their own the best.

I smiled and replied, "Yeah. He also said the same thing. He couldn't love Shannon, so why did he marry her before? He held her up by doing that."

"Don't think about it anymore. We don't understand their affairs. All it matters is that we do fine."
