I found Sylvester’s words ridiculous.

My gaze lowered, the corners of my mouth unconsciously hooked upwards. "If you had no plans on saying anything, why pick this crucial time to tell me? Rather than letting me know this late, you should have kept me in the dark for the rest of my life!"

I spoke rather agitatedly. I did not know how to face Theo now.

I did not use to feel anything about my mother but after going to where my mother had been and after staying where she had stayed, even watching her video, it would be a lie if I said I still felt nothing.

Silas coughed a few times. He did not seem to be doing well recently.

I heard him sigh heavily before a hoarse voice left his throat. "I thought about that but I don't want you to live so happily.”

I looked up at him, Silas's smile was so ugly.

I did not want to listen to his nonsense now. The storm in my heart was also making it impossible for me to calm down.

"If you can't go back to see Theo for a while, why don't you come with me?"
