There was an obvious flicker in Sylvester’s expression before the corners of his lips hooked upwards. "It's not a big deal. The company has a high turnover rate, to begin with. He won’t know as long as no one leaks it.”

He looked confident, but where was he getting that confidence from?

"Silas has managed the company for so many years, does he not have his henchmen here?” I asked back.

I was not worried that Sylvester would think I was asking too much since I was continuing his line of conversation.

"Even if there were, the high and mighty emperor was far away. He won’t be able to do anything about it.”

Sylvester’s light tone made me feel that something was a little off.
