"Of course," I said with a smile. "I still need your help t o look after my yard from time to time."

I had no plans of selling off the house. When Munchkin attended university next time and had a life of his own, I might still want to come back here.

He smiled helplessly. "Let's have a meal together before you leave, then. Let the children say their goodbyes."

Tina was Munchkin's only friend so far, hence a proper farewell was definitely necessary.
