Karl rubbed his nose and said to himself, "Is the lady thinking about me now?"

The pen in his hand froze midway through writing when he recalled how Analise grabbed his horns. His mind started racing, and he didn't come back to his senses embarrassingly until the ink from his pen spilled and a pool of black collected on the paper.

"Karl, the security forces returned with news. They have secured the evidence for Sawyer's collusion with The Reclaimers, and he has been imprisoned in Interstellar Prison as we speak.

"As for his cohorts, the security forces said they'd send some of their men to help us with the hunt. Recently, The Reclaimers have been more active than usual, and Apex Tournament is around the corner.

"So, the security forces wanted to recruit some new blood. They also wanted to discuss a plan to hunt down The Reclaimers with you and various alliance commanders."

Jay opened the door and entered Karl's office. He handed the latter a file and said, "Lord Hansen said he's old and wanted to stay out of this case. He's giving you full authority over all affairs concerning Ironhorn City.

"In a few days, he will make an announcement regarding your ascension to lordship."

Karl hummed in response without raising his head. Instead, he held the file in his hand and went through it meticulously.

"Sawyer has given us a list of his cohorts. Get someone to bring them in." Karl looked at one of the pages with a name list and committed it to his memory before taking it off and giving it to Jay.
