"You know," one of them remarked, "your little brother used to be as clueless as a wooden dummy. Now he's actually trying to chase a girl."

Abigail responded casually, "Well, he does have a nice smile. Those big white teeth do him favors. Isn't he good-looking?"

"What about me?" The fox-eared male paused his typing, immediately shutting down his interface. "Looks like I haven't been keeping you satisfied lately..."

After Scott left, Analise decided to follow him and see what was going on. She grabbed Finlay's hand and pulled him along.

Finlay felt a little lightheaded as her warm, delicate fingers wrapped around his wrist.

Whenever they passed other male therians on the starship, Finlay couldn't help but hold his head a little higher.

"There's no need to be like that," Analise said, noticing Finlay's slight vanity. She paused for a moment, then leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

The passing men stared, both shocked and envious.

"Ana..."

"Come on, let's go see if we can help. I don't want to just sit around and wait for death. Besides, I'm curious to see how much Sean resembles him."

Caught off guard by the sudden public kiss, Finlay blushed. Lowering his head, he quickly took Analise's hand and led her toward the starship's front cabin.

In truth, Analise had another reason. She wanted to find out if Sean was a transmigrator. After all, a sudden recovery and a drastic personality shift were classic signs in transmigration novels.

Analise also wondered if this person had a system and why he was helping the insectoids.

Could Echo's Ophir be connected to him?

In the front cabin of the starship, Scott stared intently at a small red dot on the control panel, his expression serious. "How much longer until we catch up?" he asked.

It seemed he was speaking to the man beside him.

"About five minutes," the operator replied. "Their starship isn't moving forward anymore. It looks like they're waiting for us."

There was a note of uncertainty in his voice.

"Are you waiting for us?" Scott's eyes darkened as a fleeting image flashed through his mind.

With it came the echo of his mother's voice.

"Scott, promise me that no matter what happens, you will spare your brother's life. He is your brother, not a stranger. He's just… temporarily…"

"Scott, is that red dot Sawyer's location?"
