After Scott left, Analise decided to follow him and see what was going on. She grabbed Finlay's hand and pulled him along.

Finlay felt a little lightheaded as her warm, delicate fingers wrapped around his wrist.

Whenever they passed other male therians on the starship, Finlay couldn't help but hold his head a little higher.

"There's no need to be like that," Analise said, noticing Finlay's slight vanity. She paused for a moment, then leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

The passing men stared, both shocked and envious.

"Come on, let's go see if we can help. I don't want to just sit around and wait for death. Besides, I'm curious to see how much Sean resembles him."

Caught off guard by the sudden public kiss, Finlay blushed. Lowering his head, he quickly took Analise's hand and led her toward the starship's front cabin.
