Jacob's face contorted with anger. He clenched his teeth and glared fiercely at Mila as if he wanted to devour her. However, he held back from provoking her too much because she was pregnant.

"How dare you call me a waste of space?" Jacob seethed with rage.

He pointed at Mila and continued, "Listen, Wanda Hoffis, by disrespecting your superior like this, you are not fit to work on the military base, let alone in Team B."

Mila remained composed as she sat watching Jacob's outburst.

Jacob grabbed the files and passed them to the other professors, saying, "Take a look at these. Can anyone understand what she's doing? They're just a jumble of random data."

Watching Jacob pass around the confidential documents, Mila warned, "Don't meddle where you're not supposed to."

Jacob smirked in response. "Why are you so defensive now? Are you afraid that if people see this messy data, they'll realize you're slacking off?"

Mila placed her hands on her stomach and took a deep breath. Her documents were circulating within the department, but many were puzzled and couldn't make sense of them at all.

When Joe and Alan, two senior professors, looked at the documents, they exchanged surprised glances and then stared at Mila in disbelief.

They promptly handed the papers back to Jacob and urgently advised him, "Mr. Lyons, take this data back to Wanda quickly."

"Does anyone know what kind of research she's conducting?" Jacob asked.

Joe and Alan, the only ones familiar with hydronium research, remained silent. However, other voices rang out.

"I couldn't make heads or tails of it."

"It seems to be some sort of substance, but I'm clueless about it."

"It's intriguing but way over my head."

Jacob smirked as he tapped the files against his palm. With a sense of victory, he announced, "Wanda, with this useless research data, your disrespectful conduct toward your superior, and a week's absence, I have enough reasons to let you go."

Jacob quickly handed over the report he was holding. "General Morrison, take a look at these. These are Wanda's latest research directions. They're full of falsified data.

"She hasn't contributed to any project research. That's why I believe she's just idling around the military base while being paid by the government."

Nathan quickly scanned the document before handing it back to Jacob. "Keep the report and handle it according to regulations."

With General Morrison backing him up, Jacob felt even more confident than before.

Mila stared at Nathan in disbelief. She couldn't understand his intentions.

He was fully aware of the importance of the hydronium data. Yet, not only did he ignore how it had been stolen, he gave such an important document to an outsider, suggesting that it be handled according to regulations.

Seizing the opportunity, Jacob added, "General Morrison, as a national researcher, Wanda not only disrespects her superior but also speaks rudely. She has insulted me by calling me a waste of space.
