After getting out of the car, Candice strode toward the villa.

Mervyn got out of the car as well and chased after her.

Candice quickly ran into the villa. She slammed the door shut and locked it.

Mervyn banged on the door from outside.

Elio immediately stood up. He nervously said with a trembling voice, "I did like you. That's why I did a lot of despicable things. I followed you, investigated you, and sabotaged every man around you, including your plans with Mervyn. I even—"

Candice interrupted, "So, that business trip abroad when you slept with me, that was also planned?"

Elio exhaled heavily before nodding.
