The room still felt electric with tension, the remnants of Knox's confrontation with our father hanging in the air like the aftermath of a storm. I could feel the anger pulsing from Knox, his chest rising and falling in heavy, controlled breaths. And for a brief moment, I wasn't sure what would happen next. Would Knox tear into Leigh again? Would I?

No, not now. We had bigger things to deal with, and this was the moment to get on the same page. Despite everything, we needed unity—something that had been missing between us for far too long.

I stepped forward, standing next to Knox, my hand hovering over his shoulder in a show of solidarity. He glanced at me briefly, his eyes flashing with a mixture of anger and something else. Relief, maybe? Deep down, I knew Knox wanted the same thing I did, even if he was too damn proud to admit it. We needed each other now more than ever.

Chase moved beside me, his expression grim.

"We need to talk," he stated urgently. Leigh struggled to his feet, wiping blood from his split lip.

"So, you all come barging in here like this? Disrespectful," he sneered.

"Quiet," Chase snapped, his eyes narrowing at our father. "If you've betrayed Lottie, you won't just have to fear your sons—you'll have the Sparrow brothers to deal with."

"And we have more 'toys' then you can imagine!" Liam grinned slyly from the door way. Leigh's face paled at the mention of the Sparrow brothers. Fear flashed in his eyes—a telltale sign that he knew exactly who Chase was referring to. I made a mental note to ask about them later, but now wasn't the time. I stepped closer to Knox, lowering my voice.

"We need to get on the same page," I murmured.

"And why is that?" He looked at me sceptically.

"Because Lottie's in danger," I replied firmly. "Whatever issues we have can wait."

He hesitated, then gave a slight nod. "Agreed." Chase turned to us, his eyes feral.

"While I was with Astaroth, I learned that..."

"What? With Astaroth." Adam growled the room growing dark as his rage seeped out of him.

"Yes, you think I dress like this for shits and giggles." He barked at his brother, giving him a hard stare before Adam shut his mouth and let him continue, "Connie is involved in this. And there's an Alpha. But I do not think it is Leigh."
