Chapter 192: Chapter 186. To Reap Your Reward (M)

"Make love to me properly,"

It sounded like a command, like a siren call. Bassena bowed his head, letting his hair down and covering his trembling eyes, the clenched of his jaw, the gritting of his teeth. He took a deep breath, trying to regulate his heartbeat and maintain his self-restraint.

Or so he tried.

"Bas--"

Bassena raised his head and claimed the calling lips, hard, harder than before, while reaching out to the nightstand drawer. When Zein gasped for air, the esper pulled away; back straightened, a foil packet between his teeth, and a flame blazing in his eyes.

Looking at the older man keenly--his guide, his light, his desire--Bassena took his shirt off with heat coiling through his nerves. The heat was perfectly captured by Zein, whose breath grew shallow and stomach twitched in bared excitement as the esper unzipped his pants and tore the foil wrap with his mouth.

There, laying with bated breath in leftover sensation from his first orgasm, Zein scoured every expanse of the dark, bronze skin glistening in the last light of the day with his eyes. And all he could think was how beautiful this man was, and how foolish he was, for dragging things for too long. Wasn’t it adorable, how that handsome face was hardened with suppressed desire?

Zein propped himself on his elbow and raised his upper body, reaching up with his other hand to caress the clenched jaw. He pulled the esper down, on him, letting his vision be bathed in the liquid fire of the dancing ambers. He lifted his hips, fingers stroking the furrowed brows as he welcomed the pressure on his entrance, breaching his ring, and filling him full. The sting, the pressure, the pleasure--everything was a delight he had denied for himself, for them, for far too long.

He moaned, and he realized he only ever moaned for Bassena. It was a testament to how unburdened he could be when he was with the younger man. He felt safe making noise, feeling safe from getting lost in contentment. Even without his mask, even without his clothes. He was bare, and he felt safe all the same.

This man, who was groaning and frantically moving his hips like he was getting chased by something, was his security blanket.

But it was getting uncomfortable for him, so Zein grabbed the esper’s head, stopping him from moving. He lifted the face that had been hidden by the falling hair, which somehow looked as if the man was in anguish.

"Calm down," Zein said between his shallow, panting breath. "Why are you in such a rush?"

The amber eyes flickered. Bassena hadn’t been saying anything for a while, as if the only thing his mouth was capable of producing was nothing more than subdued groans and faint growls.

"I don’t want to fuck you," Zein rubbed the glistening scales beneath the flinching eyes. "I want to make love to you."

The esper’s breath stuttered and he grasped the headboard. His heart beat fast, and the nerves in his body were aflame, even more so than before. But the stroking on his face was soothing, and it almost felt like a guiding, even though it wasn’t.

"I’m not going anywhere," Zein said, soft, almost like a whisper. "I decided to not go anywhere, and..." he paused, and kissed the trembling lips softly, before adding against the esper’s lips. "You’ll make sure I stay...right?"

Bassena felt his core shaking. What Zein said right now was the absolute assurance that Zein would never try to jump off the cliff again, that he would grab those sturdy arms and keep trying to haul himself to the safe ground.

Rather than any confession, that assurance was more precious for him.

"You can have me as long as you’d like, so..." Zein let his head rest on the pillow again, and brought the esper down with him, "Slow down, let’s enjoy this more, mm?"

Bassena throbbed, everywhere; his heart, his mana core, his groin...he took a sharp breath and dove to kiss the older man. The fingers running through his hair and scratching on his back brought a shudder to his spine, and as his tongue made a home inside the guide’s mouth, so did his genitals inside the warm cavern.

He moved slower this time, more rhythmic, savoring every clench and every groan instead of just motioning in frenzy. He grasped the guide’s neck and hips, controlling the way their hips collided and skins slid, swallowing soft moans and breathless kisses.

"Bas--" Zein gasped, ending their deep makeout when Bassena snapped his hips harder. He grabbed the platinum strands hard and threw his head back, groaning.

Bassena gritted his teeth and moved his hips with the same intensity, shoving deeper, digging around like a guest recalling a familiar home. And when he found it, the little bump that shot an electric sensation up the guide’s spine, he was rewarded by an unmissable sound of a whimper and a sensual view; of fair skin marred with flush, of glistening red lips bitten to restrain moan, of eyes glazed and narrowed, and of hands desperately gripping the sheet and the headboard for purchase.

And that only made him hit harder.

"Bas--ah, fuck--Bas!" Zein moaned the esper’s name through gritted teeth and tensed his back for a mean clench as he groaned and convulsed, eyes flickering in ecstasy.
