Chapter 403: Chapter 395. A Warm Cradle (M)

Ah...the feeling of weightlessness...it carried an illusion that he was shedding all burdens. The soft pressure all over his side felt like a caress, holding him tight inside a refreshing void.

He suddenly recalled what Bassena used to describe his guiding; a cradle. A cradle of water.

Is this how it feels?

With that thought, Zein closed his eyes.

But soon, he felt himself getting pulled by his waist, snatched to the surface. When he opened his eyes, he saw the bright, very blue sky filling his vision, before it was replaced by a handsome visage of glistening bronze skin and bright hair.

Zein grabbed the sturdy shoulder in front of him reflexively, just as Bassena hissed in concern. "What are you doing? How can you--"

But Bassena’s complaint stopped when he heard the crisp sound of laughter coming from the guide. Holding onto the esper and getting supported by the waist, Zein threw his head back and laughed, the blue eyes met the bright sky above.

And it was like the whole world brightened. Like the flowers became more vibrant, like the sun getting warmer and the air became purer. A burst of color prettier than the falling petals bloomed on those fair cheeks, and droplets of water were shimmering like sparkling jewels around the silky black hair.

Zein sounded so free and joyful that Bassena forgot whatever scolding he wanted to make, and merely pressed his forehead to the guide’s chest, listening to the steady heartbeat as he held the guide securely in his arms. "Did you have fun?"

Zein took a deep breath. Just like the water, those sturdy arms felt like his cradle; a warm cradle that spelled home.

Ah, yes. This man too, was his home.

"Yeah," Zein let out a contented lowered his head and stroked the platinum hair. "It’s my first time being surrounded by water on all sides. It was exhilarating."

"You scared me," Bassena frowned. He could understand where Zein was coming from; he had witnessed the tears that the guide shed when he saw the lake in the Deathzone; he knew Zein’s attachment to water. But that didn’t mean Zein could just put himself in danger for it. "You should have told me before you did something like that, so I could at least prepare--"

"It’s not like I meant to do it from the start," Zein chuckled while rubbing the esper’s furrowed brows. "Besides, you are here."

Bassena stared at the brilliant pair of blue eyes that looked at him with utmost clarity. They gleamed softly in affection that pumped his heart faster.

"I wasn’t worried, because I knew you’d get me in no time," Zein continued. "And you did, didn’t you?" he lowered his head and pressed his lips to the esper’s. "Because you’re my guarantee."

Bassena felt his lips quiver slightly, as if reflecting how much his heart was trembling at that moment. Grasping the guide’s tighter, he chased those lips again for a deeper kiss. There was no cute nibbling, no flirty licking. Just sucking and eating each other’s lips as if they hadn’t kissed for years.

And Gods--it did feel like they hadn’t kissed for years. Intimacy wasn’t something that could be gained just because a couple had time. It had been quite some time since they were in the right state of mind to just think about each other; to ignore all troubles and worldly burdens.

When they did, it felt like nothing else mattered in the world. A rare moment where they allowed themselves to think that it would be alright even if the world ended tomorrow. As long as they were together, as long as they held each other.

They gasped into each other’s mouths, feeling the same arousal blasting inside their veins. Zein held Bassena’s back tighter, digging his fingers into the slippery bare skin. Another hand sneaked and grabbed onto the platinum hair, thumb pressing into the sharp jaw as he tilted the esper’s head for easier access.

Bassena slid his hand to the guide’s back, pulling Zein closer to his body, pressing their skin against each other. He felt Zein’s legs move underwater, flailing for a bit to gain bearing, before finding the esper’s waist and latching himself. Sighing into the kiss, Zein rubbed the esper’s taut calf--and it was all the signal Bassena needed to grasp the guide’s bottom.

The spike of pleasure was instantaneous, and they could feel each other’s excitement through the thin swimming trunk. While his tongue explored Zein’s mouth, Bassena’s hand slipped past the guide’s waistband, fingers plunged into the wet entrance.

Zein only allowed himself the air to gasp at the sensation of something intruding on his backside, before chasing on the esper’s lips again. They were warm, Bassena had always been warm; a surge of heat inside his cold world. The warmth was quickly spreading in his heart like a blooming flower, and the heat traveled downward like a raging hellstorm.

Ah, it was maddening. It had been so long since they were this hungry for each other that even when they moved fast, everything felt so slow. They felt like choking every time their lips separated as if the only eligible air for them was the one saved in the other’s lungs.

"That’s enough," Zein whispered between bated breaths. "Just hurry up."

Bassena gritted his teeth to prevent himself from growling, and the next thing Zein knew, his back was pressed to one of the dock’s legs. He felt Bassena grip his thighs and, holding into the dock and the esper’s back, Zein braced himself for a breach.

Ah, the way he gasped. It was almost like he had forgotten how Bassena felt; hard and blazing, throbbing against his clenching wall. "Ugh--" Bassena gritted his teeth as the sensation of sheathing himself inside Zein crawled along his spine. Gods--why did it feel like it had been so long? Too long.
