Chapter 42: Chapter 41. Keep It Professional (M)

Wordlessly, Zein brought Bassena through the hallways, down the stairs; away from the shard’s room, but still within the vicinity of the safe zone generated by the shard.

"Didn’t know you could be so eager," Bassena commented after a prolonged silence of traversing through dreary hallways.

Perhaps because of the shard, but the area affected by its energy did not experience decay like the other parts of the ruin. That being said, since the building itself seemed like an office, the hallways were plain and empty. And walking through that kind of place without any words made Bassena feel like he was heading to the headmaster’s room for punishment rather than something exciting like...you know, exchanging bodily fluids.

And he knew Zein was acting weird before, so in a way, Bassena wanted to taunt the man.

"Why, I thought you’d be thrilled with my enthusiasm," Zein threw a glance, and from Bassena’s position where he walked slightly behind, the way Zein looked up through those long eyelashes felt erotically inviting.

Bassena smirked; ah, so at least the guide seemed to have come back to his usual self.

"I’m trying my hardest to hold back," he grinned mischievously, though his face was all nonchalant, prompting Zein to scoff.

It was the truth though. Actually, Bassena had been holding back since Zein opened a door for this one chance. And the abrupt way the guide took him away from the others as if they were going to do some scandalous venture did nothing to cull the flame dancing below his stomach.

"Are you really okay, though? You said you have no energy earlier," he asked, as they entered the furthest room the safe zone could reach.

Zein paused in front of the entrance, eyes scanning the room. "So I’m going to take some energy from you,"

After all, for him, guiding is converting miasma to energy, so doing it with Bassena now, whose corrosion level was reaching an alarming level, would fill him to the brim.

"My," Zein felt the esper behind him, pressing close, hand sneaking forward to play with the zipper of his uniform, and pulled it down. A tickling breath grazed the guide’s neck, and warm lips followed after. "You sound like an incubus just now," hands traveling down to draw circles over the guide’s navel, he whispered lowly. "How erotic."

Zein craned his neck to let Bassena play with it, but his eyes frowned at the state of the room. He had detected something like a dormitory, but while the place hadn’t decayed, dust was something eternal, and the beds there seemed to be buried in it.

"I don’t suppose we can use that?" Zein wasn’t really picky with places; a proper environment was a luxury for a red-zoner like him anyway. But that might be different for this young master busy groping him from behind.

"Absolutely not," Bassena chuckled on Zein’s shoulder, and then proceeded to swipe his dimensional storage ring and let out a tent cube. It was similar to the compressed tent cube they used for sleeping, only this one was red in color. "I took the guiding tent from the supply bag."

Zein raised his brow, took the red cube, and walked out of the room, entering another one located in the opposite hall, which was empty of furniture. "Since when?"

"Since you told me we’d fuck," he grinned, leaning into the entrance’s frame with arms crossed as Zein set the cube on the ground and pressed the button.

"So eager,"

"I’m always true to my desire," the esper shrugged smugly.

The tent quickly formed, decompressing to the size of a regular guide clinic room. When they entered the place, there were a bed and cabinets that probably contained lube, among other things.

"There’s a shower?" Zein stared at the small space at the corner, and once again felt the power of wealth.

"Only have two uses," Bassena explained while taking off his leather coat, watching Zein rummaging through the cabinet amusedly. "You want to take one?"

Zein took out a bottle of lube from the drawer and threw it onto the bed before turning his head with a shrug. "Do you want me to?"

As someone who lived in the red-zone, sex was a quick business to relieve oneself. Taking a shower just to get dirty immediately? When water was scarce to begin with? It was ridiculous for him.

But he also knew some people preferred their partner to be thoroughly cleaned before the deed, and should the young master want to, he’d adhered to it since the means were at their disposal.

Seeing Zein looking at him like he was some slick city boy almost made Bassena burst out laughing. He grabbed the older man’s waist and shoulder, burying his face in the crook of Zein’s neck as he carefully pushed the guide onto the bed with his own weight.

"No," he chuckled on top of the slightly exposed fair skin, planting kisses along the other’s collarbone. "I happened to really, really like your scent,"

Bassena had no idea whether Zein himself was aware of it, but the guide was always emanating the same scent that came out during his guiding. It was always there, across his skin, in a very small intensity that was only apparent when one sniff his skin directly. It was something that Bassena realized after their second kiss.

"Or do you want me to take it?" Bassena pulled away from the other’s neck, staring at the blue eyes with a smirk.

"What for?" Zein leaned back on the headboard and tilted his head, reaching for the esper’s head and pulling the man closer. "We’ll get dirty anyway,"

Bassena chuckled, before the sound was drowned inside the other’s mouth. A steady, refreshing current was poured into his system as Zein started to guide him through the kiss. He pushed Zein further to the headboard, slipping himself between the guide’s legs, and sneaking his hand inside the older’s shirt. He felt the hand clutching his hair tighten as his fingers danced across the guide’s skin beneath the shirt, rubbing on the navel, and slowly hiked up the fabric.

Abruptly, Zein broke away from the kiss and grabbed Bassena’s hand, frowning. "What are you doing?"

The esper blinked, eyes opened in confusion. "I’m...stripping you?"

"But why are you stripping my top?" Zein was still frowning, pushing the esper’s hand down to his pants. "We only need the bottom part."

Sex in the red-zone was a quick business; they met, they agreed to fuck, and then they did it quickly and efficiently. Especially for the non-esper, exposing bare skin to air laden with miasma for too long was dangerous.

Bassena sat frozen for a bit. He was about to argue with the guide but something was holding him back. Yeah, let’s thread this calmly, he thought, pulling away and massaging his temple in contemplation. Something about this cultural difference felt oddly familiar.

"Are people in the red-zone having sex with their clothes on?" he asked slowly.

"Of course," Zein answered matter-of-factly before something occurred to him that made him widen his eyes. "People in the green-zone have sex naked?"

Bassena sighed, almost tempted to laugh out loud. "Well..." he shrugged, let out a smirk, and pulled his shirt off, tossing it into the ground.

"Are you people suicidal?" Zein stared at Bassena with pure dread and blatant disagreement that the esper could no longer hold his laughter.

"Well, picture this," Bassena leaned down and sneak his hand to slide Zein’s jacket off the shoulder, planting another kiss on the guide’s neck. "They are people living in a safe zone," his hand slid the jacket further down, and he could feel the guide flinch. "The air was fresh, there’s almost no miasma mixed in the environment."

"Good for them," Zein scoffed, and Bassena pulled away, chuckling. "You do you, but I won’t strip."

"Not even this?" Bassena tilted his head, pulling on Zein’s jacket sleeve.

Zein had this thought that sex was sex, whether he was the top or the one being penetrated, it was just an act of fulfilling one’s carnal desire, chasing momentary pleasure through release. People living in the danger zone had no leeway for gentleness or foreplay. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
