He didn’t spare a glance at me and hurriedly left the room.

I followed him and hid outside the emergency exit.

But then I heard a familiar voice.

"Little devil, weren’t you fed enough just now? Why are you sending photos to Simon again? If you keep doing this, I won’t listen to your pleas next time."

Anna chuckled, her voice laced with the sweet satisfaction of being full.

"It’s because I heard that Sally is out of prison. I’m worried you’ll forget about me."

"After all, you two are childhood sweethearts. I’m just an outsider... and mentally still..."

"Enough, I won’t let you speak like that. Don’t bring up the past. As long as Sally’s around, no one will suspect anything about you."

"If I really liked her, I wouldn’t have sent her to prison back then."

The call ended.

Simon ran into me as I hadn’t yet returned to the room.

His face immediately turned pale.

"Sally? What are you doing here? I had some work to handle at the company. Go back to the room. I’ll call the doctor right away."

Suppressing my grievances, I smiled and shook my head.

"I’m fine now, Simon. I want to be discharged."

"Three years in there, I haven’t seen the world outside for so long."

After knowing each other for ten years, this was the first time I had softened my tone and acted coquettishly.

Simon couldn’t refuse me and finally agreed to my request.

As we were processing my discharge, Anna appeared in the hallway.

Before she even reached us, the nurses’ voices could be heard in admiration.

"Is that Miss Anna? I’ve been a fan for so long but couldn’t get tickets. She’s even more beautiful in person, truly a rising star..."

"If I’m not mistaken, that trench coat is the new Burberry collection, right? I heard Mr. Simon had someone buy it abroad for her just a couple of days ago. It hasn’t even been released in stores yet."

"Why is she here? Was she injured during a performance?"

As soon as the words left their mouths, I could clearly feel his grip tighten for a moment.

Worrying, as usual, couldn’t be faked.

Anna took off her sunglasses and walked up to us, naturally linking her arm with Simon’s.

"Simon, I heard Sally is being discharged. I came to see her."
