Edie was wearing a decent tailcoat. He held Hazel's hand and walked down the stairs. They attracted the attention of everyone present.

Whoops and cheers could be heard among the gathered crowds. They applauded and gave them a grand welcome as if they were king and queen.

Hazel tried to keep a smile. She told herself that she was just an actor in a play.
