After a brief silence, Evan asked, "Was it Alec who took you away?"

"Yeah." Jenny didn't hide anything. By then, they'd already crossed the borders of Monaerim. Even if Evan came after them, he wouldn't be able to catch up.

"He's the ultimate winner, it seems," Evan lamented with a bitter smile. No matter how hard he tried, in Jenny's heart, Alec was more important than him at the end of the day.

"Traveling is about going from places that we're tired of to places that other people are tired of," Alec replied.

Jenny didn't refuse and went along with Alec's plan. After all, she was only a tour guide for the next two days, so she would do whatever he wanted.
