Not long after that, the wedding officially started. As the announcement of the bride's entrance was made, the door of the hall was opened. Jade took her father's hand as he escorted her into the hall. Max looked at her from the stage, and the love in his eyes could not be concealed at all.
One step after another, Jade's father walked her toward Max. Then, he put his daughter's hand in Max's hand. "Max, I'm leaving Jade under your care. I hope you won't let me and her mother down."
"Don't worry, Mr. Weston. I promise that you won't be disappointed," Max said seriously. He desperately wanted to swear to him on the spot.
Tears welled up in Jade's eyes, but she held them in and didn't burst out crying there and then.
The wedding ceremony continued. As Jade's bridesmaid, Jenny saw it up close when they said their vows to each other. She also watched them hug and kiss each other. She gave them her blessings from the bottom of her heart.
Finally, it was time for the bouquet toss. Jenny rubbed her palms. However, just as Jenny was prepared to showcase her skills, Jade handed her the bouquet directly. "Jenny, I hope you're the next person to be blessed with happiness."
Jenny was stunned.
"Hurry up and accept it. I have no objections to this at all." Stephanie nudged Jenny's arm. At the very least, Jenny had a boyfriend. Stephanie didn't even have one, so she was not in a hurry at all.
In the end, Jenny didn't refuse the bouquet. She felt it would be more meaningful if she had caught the bouquet herself, but it was a blessing from Jade, so she could not refuse it.
When the ceremony ended, Jenny returned to the table. Alec put some food on her plate. "You're hungry, aren't you? Hurry up and eat up."
As the bridesmaid and groomsman, they were busy the entire day helping out with the ceremony, so they truly had not eaten much.
"Mmhmm. You too." It was Jade's reception. Of course, Jenny had to eat more.
While they dug in, Jade and Max started going around to have a toast with guests. Soon, they got to their table.
Jade was a little drunk but was still very happy when she saw Jenny and the rest of them. "Jenny, I'm married now. You should work hard as well!"
"Jade, I'm not in a hurry." Jenny put on a forced smile. Why did she suddenly feel like everybody was urging her to get married? She was still very young.
The guests left very quickly when the wedding ended.
There was a dinner party at night, but that was only for Jade and Max's friends. They were all still young, so they could enjoy themselves happily.
After they all left the hotel, they were all driven to Max's mansion by the ride Max had arranged for them. The dinner party would be held there.
It was the first time Jenny had come over. It was also the same for the others, Jade included. Of course, to be more precise, it was not Jade's first time there. She had been there once before. However, the mansion looked completely different from how it was at that moment.
Max had meticulously decorated the mansion. Fresh flowers and balloons could be seen everywhere. In any case, it just looked exceptionally dreamy.
All of them cheered to tease Jade, which made her a little embarrassed. She then whispered to Max, "Why did you do all this for?"
"You don't like it?" Max frowned. He purposely got someone to decorate the mansion for her because he felt Jade would probably like it.
