Lilith immediately felt a chill run down her spine when she heard what he said. She couldn't believe Gilbert would truly go against the Kruegers.

The Kruegers were almost as powerful as the Hawthorn Inc. If Gilbert truly were to do that, they would both end up in a lose-lose situation. She didn't believe that Gilbert would do that.

With his arm around Marigold, he brought her to a different seat and brought her a cup of warm water. "Don't take what the woman said to heart. I will let her have the punishment she deserves."
