Right as the father and son were about to get into a fight, Harvey shook his head in defeat and sighed softly. “That’s enough! Do you want to cut my lifespan short?”

“Grandpa!”

“Dad!”

Ben and Christopher yelled simultaneously, but none wanted to give in.

Harvey waved his hand and dismissed them. “Leave, the both of you. As Christopher’s grandfather, I’ll make the arrangements for his marriage. You and Evelyn don’t have to worry about it.”

Ben and Evelyn appeared dissatisfied and wanted to protest, but they shut up under Harvey’s sharp glare. “Remember whose money you’re taking. If you push me to my limits, I’ll not give you a single cent.”

The couple fell silent after hearing Harvey’s threat. No joke! How could they go about their lives without money? They left the manor in no time but had no plans to give up.

Christopher took his seat when his parents were gone. “You shouldn’t have spoiled them, Grandpa. You should’ve kicked them out earlier.” To him, Ben and Evelyn were the two bloodsuckers of the Spades.

“Christopher, I know you’re angry at them. Still, they’re your parents,” Harvey sighed. “I hope you treat them well after I pass. Even if you refuse to see them as your parents, you should spare them.”

The last thing he wanted was for Christopher to carry out the ruthless act of cutting off his parents. Harvey would never tolerate his descendants doing so.

“You still have many years ahead of you, Grandpa. Why would you bring up death?” Christopher smiled and dropped the discussion about his parents to avoid spoiling the mood.

Harvey dropped the topic and asked him, “Why didn’t you bring Jenny along?”

“She said she wanted to stay at the hotel. You know I can’t change her mind. So, I sent her there.* He looked helpless. Indeed, he was powerless around Jenny.

Harvey didn’t want to argue against that because he saw through Christopher.
