Unaffected by her anger, Randy kept smiling and was even secretly glad to have evoked some emotions from her. "Shall I send you back to the office?" he asked.

"No," she turned him down and left immediately. He didn't insist and watched as she left. The relationship between Jenny and Alec left him wondering.

After lunch, Jenny drove to Walter Inc. Although the encounter with Alec ruined her mood, she didn't let it affect her work. She strode to Graham's office, knocked on the door, and entered.

He quickly shut the document he was reading and smiled at her. "Take a seat. I heard from the staff that you've been here since morning. You must be tired."

"I'm not as weak as you thought. I came in early in the morning but did nothing of importance. Tired? I'm far from it." She knew Graham wanted to be a good father to her, but she wasn't accustomed to his doting manner.

He smiled at her comment and joined her on the couch. "Is something up?"

"Yeah." She nodded and handed him Randy's proposal. "Take a look at it first."

He took the proposal and poured through it. Soon, he was done reading, but his expression had grown serious. "What do you think?"

"It's abnormal. Something's fishy," she answered coolly.

He nodded in agreement. "I bet there's some issue behind this land. If there's nothing wrong with the land, there's a possibility that the Glasses are trying to trick us."

After years without any business cooperation, it was odd for the Glasses to suddenly seek a partnership with the Walters.

"I have neither the experience nor the interest in managing a company. If you insist on passing the company to me, you'd better kickstart your search for dependable managers. When the time comes, I will hand over management tasks to them and take on a supervisory role," she announced. To her, Walter Inc would be like the second Jeneration Group. She didn't have to worry about Jeneration Group thanks to Alfred and Jade's capable management, and she was minimally involved in running the company.

Feeling confused by her announcement, he fell silent for a long time.

She added, "I have things that I'd like to do in life. I can't change my life plans because of you, and I hope you understand." She preferred practicing medicine, a less complicated profession.

Seeing the determination in her eyes, he understood that this must have been the most generous compromise she could arrive at. Sighing, he gave in. "Alright. I will search for the ideal candidates and get some capable hands to support you."

"Thank you for your understanding." She meant her words because, had Graham insisted, it'd be difficult for her to get out of the situation, considering that he was her father. No matter what, she wouldn't change her plans, which might only worsen her relationship with him, an outcome she feared. Thankfully, the worst outcome did not materialize.
