"Well, you'll have to take care of things. If you don't think of a way to take her away, they'll only grow closer. Is that what you want?" Evan was sure Gilbert didn't want to see that happening.

Gilbert was exasperated. He had no choice but to agree. "Alright. But you have to do it yourself next time."

Jenny wasn't stupid. If they did it over and over, she'd figure it out.

They had just managed to repair their relationship. Gilbert didn't want to upset her again.

Evan didn't care about what he said. He hung up. He'd figure it out if it happened again. Gilbert was in the same boat, anyway. Flying solo wasn't as easy as all that.

In the coffee shop, Jenny received a call from Gilbert. She learned that Zack had just arrived in Bardoff City. Naturally, she would be anxious to meet him. Alec's suggestion to have dinner together was brushed off just like that.

"I'm sorry. I have to go." Jenny looked at Alec apologetically. After all, he'd helped her solve a problem, and she was leaving before she even got to treat him to something. She felt guilty.

Alec felt bitter about it, but he couldn't let it show. "Is Zack here?"

"Yeah. Gilbert told me that Zack is also preparing to expand his company in Bardoff City. I didn't think that he'd come today." Jenny was happy. The three of them had not eaten together in a long time.

Alec forced a smile. "I'll send you over, then."

"That's okay. I'll get a cab." Jenny was already feeling guilty. She didn't want to inconvenience him.

Alec didn't think it was a hassle at all. He had already gotten up. "Let's go. It's dangerous to get a cab now. I'll send you over. It won't take up my time at all."
