Knowing Lila was shy, Kieran lowered his head and gently touched his forehead to hers before setting her down beside him. He didn't forget to help her straighten out her rumpled clothes.

Lila leaned back in her seat and let herself relax. Exhaustion crept over her as soon as she did.

"Are you tired?" Kieran asked as he shifted toward her, his hand gently messaging against her temple.

She leaned in closer. "You could open a massage parlor with your skills."

Kieran chuckled. What an exaggeration.

Still, Kieran didn't mind learning how to message once things settled down if it meant giving her a better massage next time.

When they arrived at Vermilion Estate, Kieran bent down to help her with her shoes.

His tone was serious as he spoke, even giving Nova a light pat on the head.

The cat meowed and promptly hid behind Lila.

"This little diva." Lila laughed at the interaction and scooped Nova into her arms, rubbing her cheek against the cat's soft fur. "Nova, he's the boss around here. I don't make nearly as much money as he does. You should cozy up to him and get him to buy you all the fancy treats."

But Nova didn't glance at Kieran and burrowed deeper into Lila's embrace.
