Kieran sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her without saying a word.

After a while, he finally let go. "Alright, I'll rest tonight."

Lila watched him lie down before heading to freshen up.

When she returned, she saw that Kieran was already asleep. For the first time, he had fallen asleep before she did.
