"I won't be happy if I don't say it," Maria snorted, "Avoidance isn't the way to solve the problem."

"What do you want to say?" Ernest smirked and looked at Maria calmly.

"Celeste is in love with Gary," Maria came clean.

Ernest was stunned for a moment before shooting Maria a cold glare. He smiled lightly and said, "She's 16 years old, so what does she know about love?"

"Age is just a number," Maria retorted, "You know that in your heart, but you just don't want to admit it."

"What should I admit?" Ernest asked.

Maria chuckled in response, "Ernest, don't cover it up. I know that you also like Celeste."

Ernest looked up at her.

Maria also looked at him.

After a few seconds of silence, Maria suddenly said, "Don't be angry. I won't tell her."

Ernest frowned, "Maria, spouting nonsense is not

funny at all."

"Are you referring to Celeste's relationship with Gary, or the fact that you also like Celeste?"

Ernest furrowed his brows. After a long while, he mumbled, "You know what I mean."

"Ernest, I always thought you were a smart person. Honestly, it is not good for you to let Celeste go to England," After saying that, Maria shot him a sweet smile and turned to leave.

She was quite disappointed, but it was understandable. It was love, and everyone wanted to strive for it.

Of course, he would fight for it at all costs.

From this point of view, Ernest was not wrong.

However, she didn't know why she was more inclined to help Gary.

When she was younger, she told herself that she would sabotage Gary the day he fell in love.

However, she didn't do it.

Seeing that Maria had left, Ernest also followed her quickly.

"Maria," they walked side by side as he asked, "You're going to England because of Gary right?"

Maria looked embarrassed. She smiled and felt a little guilty, but then she shook her head and explained, "Ernest, I'm going to England because of my idol. After all, my idol went to England. I'm not Celeste. It's difficult for me to act on impulse just because of friends."

"Looks like you've reached an agreement with my brother," Ernest guessed that they were having an agreement or something.

Maria just smiled and didn't want to admit it.

"Ernest, you're a smart person. In my heart, you're much smarter than Gary. You're someone who knows what you're doing."

"Don't try to flatter me," Ernest shot back, "I helped you a lot when I was a child. Maria, the way you treat me and Gary is unfair."

"I admit it," Maria didn't cover it up and said coolly, "I sympathize with the weak."

She was talking about Gary. Because of Gary's pretentiousness, he was weaker in many aspects, while Ernest got over things easily. Therefore, in Maria's understanding, Ernest was a strong person.

"Who is the weak and who is the strong?" Ernest asked.

"Is that even a question?" Maria shrugged it off, "Of course you're the strong one."

Ernest suddenly smiled bitterly. He glanced at Maria, a dejected feeling flashing through his eyes as he sighed, "Maria, ever since the day I was born, everyone knew that my brother is a strong person. He always does what he wants to do. No one can force him to do what he doesn't want to do."

Maria looked at his bitter smile. Suddenly, her chest tightened and she looked away guiltily.

Ernest's expression really scared her. She had never seen such a look on his face.

She could only lower her head and refused to look at him.

"I've heard of it," Celeste said, "What's the matter?"

"A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Do you understand this?" Maria asked once again. It seemed she was trying to hint at something.

Celeste nodded and said, "Yes, I know. Don't be too greedy. I understand."

"You can't have your cake and eat it too, do you understand what I mean?" Maria advised again.

This time, Celeste was stunned, and there was a change in her expression.

She looked at Maria. After a long while, she suddenly realized something and asked, "Maria, what do you want to say? Tell me directly, okay?"

"I just wanted to say that since we're going to England and you're going to the same school as Ernest, you have to avoid Ernest. After all, you and Gary are dating, remember?" Maria felt that it was necessary to remind Celeste about this.

After all, Ernest was very smart. Meanwhile, Celeste was still confused about some things.

Hence, Maria was worried.

However, as soon as she said it, Celeste was dumbfounded. She looked at Maria and smiled, "You've said so much. Are you worried that I have feelings for Ernest?"

"Yes, exactly," Maria nodded furiously, "That's exactly what I meant."

"Don't worry," Celeste shook her head, "I won't." "That's what I want to hear," Maria looked at Celeste with a smile, as if she were Celeste's sister. She continued, "It's good that you understand. They are brothers. If you don't understand the whole picture, it'll be troublesome for all three of you."

Celeste nodded and assured her, "Maria, I never thought that Gary and I would be dating. I mean, we're all classmates. I cherish our friendship, but I didn't expect our relationship to turn out like this."

"What exactly happened between you and Gary?" Maria blinked. When she saw how red Celeste's face was, she was instantaneously curious about all the things that went through between them that she had no idea of.

Celeste tried to make herself look calm, but she couldn't stand Maria's interrogating gaze.

She looked at Maria, only to find her gaze frighteningly sharp and bright.

"Nothing," Celeste immediately denied everything, "The only thing that I know is that I have a different feeling towards Gary compared to Ernest."
