Celeste stayed at the hotel for the time being.

After agreeing to help Celeste deal with the matter, Alex arranged for Celeste to stay in the hotel. Then, he contacted a lawyer to make some legal inquiries.

When Ernest left, he comforted Celeste and told her not to leave. Then, he told Alex to increase hotel security. This was to ensure that Celeste would not leave on her own.

With that, Celeste managed to stay in the hotel.

Alex soon got in touch with a lawyer. Overnight, he managed to inquire about various issues regarding becoming an underaged teenager's guardian.

That night, Ernest returned home. Before he entered the house, he saw his mother waiting for him at the door with an anxious look on her face.

There was a flash of guilt on his face. He didn't say where he was going, which probably made his mom worried.

"Mommy, I'm back. Sorry for making you worried."

Ernest spoke first.

Grace immediately said, "It's good that you're back. Where did you go? Why are you in such a hurry?"

"Mom, let's talk in the house," Ernest didn't want to be heard by others. Since Celeste didn't ask Maria for help, she probably didn't want to spread the news.

Thus, he was aware that he had to avoid Maria for the time being and try not to let Maria find out.

Grace noticed that her son was doing something behind her back. She nodded at him, "Alright, let's go upstairs first."

"Where's dad?" Ernest asked as he walked into the villa.

"Your dad is in a conference meeting on the third floor."

Feeling much more relieved, Ernest followed his mother to his room on the second floor.

Back in the room, Grace asked anxiously at once, "What happened? Why are you doing things behind everyone's back?"

"Mommy, I didn't want to talk about this., but I'm afraid that you will be more worried when you find out. Also, I don't want you to misunderstand dad," Ernest had a lot going on in his mind and explained, "So on my way back, I thought about it over and over again. I still think that I should tell you the truth." "What's the matter?" Grace's face turned grim unconsciously.

Grace was an experienced person after all and had gone through a lot of things. Now that her son was being so serious, she couldn't help but feel concerned about him.

"Here's the thing," Reluctantly, Ernest asked, "Do you know who Celeste's aunt is?"

"Celeste's aunt?" Grace frowned and asked in confusion, "Who is her aunt?"

Ernest wanted to laugh when he saw his clueless mother, "Mom, your life was really surrounding us and dad throughout these years. You have no idea about the outside world."

"Other than these concerns, I don't really care what happens outside. Quickly, tell me. Who's Celeste's aunt?"

"Cindy White," Ernest revealed as he looked at his mother.

"Cindy White?" Grace was startled. She tried to recall who the person was when suddenly, a figure flashed through her thoughts. She was startled and asked, "The actress?"

"Yes," Ernest nodded and continued, "Judging by your reaction, I believe you know who she is."

"I know, she is a superstar. Before I met your father, I liked Cindy's acting very much," Grace recalled that back then, she met Heinz for the first time five years after giving birth to his children. She even saw Cindy seducing Heinz and felt extremely awkward back then.

Speaking of which, she was also quite impulsive at that time and exposed his privacy.

Grace's jaw dropped as she stared at her son in a daze.

Ernest quickly rephrased his words, "My bad, I'll try to explain a bit more. First, Cindy is still in love with dad. I'm not sure if it is true love or not, but she doesn't seem to be able to let go of dad. Second of all, Celeste thought that she was her illegitimate daughter, but it turned out that she was not. Therefore, she could only cut off all her ties with Cindy."

"Wait," Grace was confused, "If Celeste is adopted, does that mean that Cindy suddenly refused guardianship of Celeste over someone like your dad?"

"Mommy, that's more or less the entire picture," Ernest felt that his mother was quite humorous, "Judging from your tone, you seem to pity Superstar White."

"Of course I am," Grace nodded seriously, "Your dad's already so old now, so is he still that charming? I can't believe that Miss White is still hung up on your dad. She clearly knows that there is no way she could ever get together with him. Is she out of her mind?"

"I don't know."

Grace speculated, "Since you don't know, then there might be some misunderstanding present. Maybe she's just not over your dad."

"Mom, this doesn't seem to make a difference, right?" Ernest looked at his mother, not knowing what to do, "Neither of them is good."

"Celeste knew that her aunt was interested in dad, so she was pissed off about it."

"She just couldn't accept it and felt ashamed." "No wonder she always looked so guilty when she looked at your father. I thought that it was because your father had a livid-looking face and it frightened her. I didn't expect it to turn out this way," Grace murmured. After thinking for a while, she suddenly widened her eyes in disbelief, "Hey, don't tell me that she thought she was Cindy and your dad's illegitimate daughter?"

Ernest was also stupefied and admired his mother's vivid imagination, "I didn't ask her about that, but now that you've brought it up, I think it might be possible. The problem now is that the DNA report has come out, and it shows that she is not biologically related to Cindy. In other words, she is not Cindy's illegitimate daughter."

"True," Grace sighed, "Your father wasn't really that close with Cindy."

She could recall that back then, Heinz had no interest in Cindy at all. To be exact, he wasn't really interested in the way that a man would be towards a woman.

He was not the slightest bit interested in sleeping with Cindy.
