Celeste bought whatever she needed and packed them into several bags. She took her own sweet time and found a nice and quiet place to order a cup of coffee. Then, she sat down and enjoyed her drink quietly.

She was not the kind of girl who could not sit still. Since young, she enjoyed peace and quiet. At this moment, even if her emotions were already surging and she felt really sad, she could still calm down and quietly figure everything out.

Celeste thought about it over and over again. The only conclusion that she came to was that she wasn't wrong.

She did not think that she was being petty.

Gary's attitude towards Janice was very special. It was really strange that he could immediately leave to deal with her problems after receiving a phone call.

In Celeste's point of view, these matters should be dealt with by the butler instead. The butler was situated in London, and he was familiar with the surroundings. In fact, he was more experienced when it came to these situations.

Gary could've even asked Alex to settle it too, but he chose to drive there immediately to deal with the matter himself.

As a woman, her intuition told her that Janice had a special place in Gary's heart.

If he could speak casually and joke around with Janice, she was definitely different.

Celeste was not angry that Gary had gone to help Janice out. She was angry that he came back with the scent of a girl's perfume and a lipstick stain on his shirt, but she was not even allowed to ask about it.

From Celeste's point of view, all of these made her frustrated and furious.

Yet, he did not want to admit it because she had seen through him.

She exposed his thoughts, which made him angry.

Celeste knew that she had to calm down now. She had to deal with this matter rationally and not give in emotionally.

In her understanding of love, she had to be a little more dominant and selfish. No matter what Gary thought and regardless of what other people thought, she wanted an exclusive relationship. If her feelings were not reciprocated, she would rather break it off.

If Gary couldn't provide her that, he should let her go.

Even if she was going to get hurt, she would not give in to him anymore.

She could deal with Gary's bad temper, but she could not take it when Gary was being too nice to other girls. This was not allowed.

As she stirred the coffee gently in the cup, she gazed downwards with a hint of firmness in her eyes.

After finishing her coffee, she paid the bill and grabbed the bags of groceries, ready to go home.

She would go back and have a good talk with Gary. If he was still so impulsive, then she would move back to her dorm.

After making her decision, Celeste returned to the villa.

The entire mansion was very quiet, and the car in the garage was gone.

It looked like Gary had gone out.

Celeste sighed slightly. She placed the stuff she bought in the refrigerator and went upstairs to take a bath.

Gary's dirty clothes were piled up in a laundry basket in the bathroom. The shirt that was filled with a woman's scent was also inside.

She glanced at the clothes and looked away. She still felt that the shirt was irritating to her.

Perhaps she was being petty, but she wanted to be.

After a shower, Celeste dried her hair and changed into a rather conservative set of pajamas. Then, she went downstairs to make something for herself to eat.

She had to move forward, and she would not abuse or treat herself badly. Even when she felt very upset, Celeste would always tell herself that she had to appreciate her own life.

Even if the whole world abandoned her, she still had to treat herself properly, enjoy the present and anticipate the future.

She wanted to work very hard and become a useful person to society..

As she was alone, she only made one serving of vegetable salad. She sat down and ate quietly at the dining table.

Suddenly, the sound of a car engine was heard.

Then came the sound of automatic gates opening. A car entered the garage, followed by the loud sound of a car door being slammed shut.

The corridor on the side of the dining hall led straight to the garage. Gary's tall and looming figure soon appeared in the corridor, and he saw Celeste.

He heaved a sigh of relief.

When he saw the lights in the dining hall from outside just now, he was delighted to know that she came back safely.

Now, he was truly relieved when he saw Celeste safe and sound, right in front of him.

His deep eyes stared straight at Celeste. He strode over and noticed that she was eating a simple dish.

Once again, his eyebrows were deeply furrowed, and he watched Celeste with a complicated look. He asked her coldly, "When did you come back?"

Celeste looked up and met Gary's gaze. His tone made it clear that he was still questioning her.

Celeste just replied softly, "A while ago."

Celeste.

Why didn't she believe him?

He really felt like grinding his teeth in anger. He was resisting the temptation to pick her up, throw her on the bed, and teach her a lesson. He wanted her to know that he never had any feelings for other women.

Celeste walked past him and said to him, "Come to the sofa."

After that, she walked over and sat down.

She looked at Gary and asked, "Have you calmed down now?"

Gary's eyebrows creased as he shot, "Celeste, don't speak to me in such a cold tone. I've always been rational."

"Can you control your temper? Don't get angry once we start talking," Celeste's tone was still indifferent, "I don't want you to get angry before I say anything. If that's going to happen, it's better if we don't talk at all."

D*mn it. Celeste was really testing his patience.

Gary looked at her and gritted his teeth. Finally, he gave in, "Fine, talk to me. I promise I won't get angry,"

"Okay," Celeste managed to get his promise and said, "I smelled perfume on your body, and I saw a lipstick stain on your clothes. It made me very uncomfortable."

Gary was startled. He pressed his lips together and knitted his brows tightly. He instinctively knew that she did not believe him at all.

"I'm only asking you if you've hugged another woman," Celeste spoke again in an extremely serious tone.

"No," Gary muttered. His tone was still livid, but he restrained himself quite a bit.

Celeste looked at him and asked again, "Well, let me put it in another way. Did you allow a woman to hug you?"

Gary was taken aback. He really didn't expect Celeste to ask the same question from a different perspective. An image flashed through his mind.

Janice cried when she saw him. She also threw herself at him and hugged him.

That lipstick mark probably came from there.

His handsome face turned all gloomy, and a little bit of awkwardness started creeping in.

Celeste noticed the change of expression on his face and sighed faintly, "It seems that you have remembered something. Do you think that I should believe in you just because you didn't hug someone when it was the other way around? That I should have just kept quiet and believed in you wholeheartedly instead?"

Gary felt a little distressed, as if his thoughts had been exposed.
