In the parking lot.

When they arrived, they parked their car in the parking lot. At the same time, there was also a small bus parked there.

There were a lot of people lining up to get off the bus.

Janice turned her head and looked at the bus next to her. She chattered and shouted at Gary in excitement, "Gary, look! There are so many people. All types of people with different skin colours are gathered around together. How fascinating."

A young girl in the passenger seat got out of the car excitedly. The man in the driver's seat looked like he had long limbs, but Celeste could not see his face because her angle was a blind spot.

However, she could recognize his hands, the car, and the way he held the steering wheel.

It was Gary.

He came to Edinburgh. The girl beside him should be Janice.

Celeste stared blankly at the young girl. She was wearing a white knitted top with frills at her sleeves, and a pair of green shorts. Her legs were long and straight, which made her look extraordinarily beautiful.

Her long and soft hair fell on her shoulders, giving off a very refreshing and attractive vibe. The girl had a pretty face and a nice figure. She radiated a special kind of youthful beauty and looked like she had a vibrant personality. Even as a girl, Celeste could not help but admire the girl's elegance.

At that moment, someone shouted, "Celeste!"

When she regained her senses, she found that her classmate, Ava, was calling for her. She quickly got off the bus with her.

Celeste was the last one to get off the bus. Meanwhile, Gary was also getting down from his car.

Soon, the two of them looked up and saw each other.

Their eyes met.

Gary's eyes were deep and endless as he looked at Celeste.

Celeste's heart suddenly tightened. For some reason, her chest hurt slightly.

"Gary, are you hungry?" Janice asked him again, "Do you want to grab something to eat? Are we staying in this hotel?"

Gary ignored her completely, as if she was not there.

That face was still cold and indifferent, but the power his eyes held caught Janice off guard for a moment.

Celeste was also stunned when she saw him look at Janice.

Ava had been talking next to her all this while, but

At that moment, she heard a low and deep male voice approaching her. Gary was shouting at her, "Celeste."

Celeste froze for a moment before looking up again.

He actually called her, so that meant he wanted to introduce Janice to her.

In this case, if she pretended that she did not know him, wouldn't she be too petty?

Celeste forced herself to regain her poise quickly, and tried to make herself look calm and composed. She did not want to look awkward in front of him.

She smiled slightly, but before she could say anything, Janice, who was standing beside her, cried out loud in surprise.

"Wow, Celeste? Gary, is this your younger sister, Miss Celeste? Is she the one who the butler mentioned?"

After hearing the statements coming out from Janice's mouth, Celeste swallowed all the words that she was about to say.

She looked at Gary. Younger sister?

So that was how he introduced her to Janice.

A glint of hurt flashed through Celeste's eyes. It

was dim but intense.

Reality hit her. Only now did she realize that she was actually Gary's younger sister. All along, she had been an adopted daughter of the Jones family.

Janice called her that, and the butler introduced her that way too. What about Gary?

He was looking at her with burning eyes, but he didn't look like he intended to correct her.

Indeed. If he did not want to clarify it, who could control his thoughts?

"Hey Gary," Celeste quickly got used to her identity as his younger sister. She smiled at Gary, maintained her poise, and said calmly, "What a coincidence to see you here. And hello, you must be the girl that the butler was talking about. You're my brother's girlfriend, am I right?"

Whatever Ava said afterward seemed like gibberish to Celeste. She was in a daze, and she seemed to be in a horrible mood.

In the meantime, Gary and Janice entered the hotel together and booked two rooms.

"Please book two rooms on two different floors," Gary instructed the receptionist.

"Why do we have to split the rooms into two different floors?" Janice asked in confusion, "Isn't it better to be on the same floor? We can take care of each other whenever we need help."

"I find you annoying," Gary was straightforward.

Janice stuck out her tongue and retorted, "It doesn't matter. I can look for your sister then. The butler gave me her phone number. I'll call her later."

"Why are you so irritating?" Gary suddenly shouted at Janice furiously, "Janice, are you out of your mind? Why do you want to look for her? Can't you see that she was also annoyed about you? She's busy, didn't you notice? Are you blind or something?"

A series of loud growls completely frightened Janice.

Gary has never been this angry before. In the past, he could speak harshly or ignore someone completely. However, yelling this loudly was a first.

After the front desk assigned the rooms, Gary immediately turned around and left.

Janice stood behind him and stared at him blankly as he left. She stood there, frozen for a really long time.

"Are you all right?" The receptionist asked her in concern.

Janice immediately came to her senses. She smiled at the receptionist and quickly shook her head, "I'm fine, thank you."

Soon, Gary went into his room, two floors away from Janice's.

His room was on the fourth floor, and her room was on the second floor.

When Janice arrived at the room, she put down her bag. Then, she sat on the edge of the bed and felt really upset.

What did she do wrong?

On the other hand, Celeste returned to the room she shared with Ava and washed her face first. When she came out, she heard Ava calling for her, "Hey, Celeste, your brother is looking for you,"

Celeste froze for a moment, only to see a tall figure standing at the entrance. He stood there looking straight at her, his gaze as deep as the ocean.

Celeste's heart skipped a beat. She turned to Gary and asked, "Hi Gary, what's the matter?"

"Come out," Gary grunted, "I have something to say,"

"Then go ahead and say it," Celeste didn't want to go out. She knew going out would just be a waste of time, and there was nothing left for her to say to him anyways.

"Come out now," Gary repeated once again, his tone firm and rigid. It seemed that he did not allow her any room for rejection.
