She was so innocent that he couldn't bear to bully her any longer.

It even crossed Liam's mind that if he were to use one of his little tricks on her, she would be done for.

But Maria was so wonderful he couldn't bring himself to continue to bully her. All he wanted to do was hold her in his arms and cherish the time they spent together.

The two of them snuggled closer and watched the video on his laptop. An air of seduction buzzed all around.

They got excited the more they watched, and it naturally led to more intimate actions.

Moments of passion and pleasure always passed quickly.

After he had his fill again, Liam carried her to the bathroom to take a shower and let her rest after that.

But Maria insisted on cooking with him because she was starving, and more importantly, she still had something to give him.

After putting on his shirt, she went to the doorway to get the stuff she had bought.

"What is it?" he asked when he saw her grabbing something.

Maria handed him the watch that had been beautifully packaged, "Your birthday present. I wanted to give it to you earlier, but you were like an animal as soon as we came in, so I nearly forgot."

Stunned, his eyes narrowed with a hint of gratitude, "For me?"

"Mm," Maria nodded adamantly, "I picked it out myself."

Liam's eyes fell onto the bag the watch was in. Immediately, he could tell it was expensive.

"It's too much," He gulped. He couldn't describe how he felt at that moment, but his stone heart cracked, revealing the soft thudding heart.

"Not at all," Maria shook her head, "I used my savings. You know I receive a scholarship every year, so I can save up the allowance my mom gives me. Besides, I receive quite an amount of cash from birthdays and events like that. I wanted to get you a watch that you could wear daily, and that is not too eye-catching."

She also had a selfish intention. She thought he would remember her if she gifted him something expensive to wear daily.

Seeing how uneasy she looked, Liam took the watch from her.

He gulped, mixed emotions spread across his face.

"Okay, I'll accept it then," He said.

She thought he would refuse, but to her surprise, he accepted it with ease.

Maria's eyes lit up, and a brilliant smile formed on her face.

"Liam, do you like it?" she asked excitedly, "Open it. Put it on and see if it suits you."

He opened the packaging, and with one look at the watch, he fell in love with it instantly.

He looked at her again and said in a hoarse voice, "You have good taste; help me put it on."

Maria immediately smiled and put it on for him. She was happy how the exquisite watch on his wrist made him look even more dashing.

Liam's eyes remained fixated on her as he said, "It's really nice. I like it."

"I'm glad you do," She was truly elated.

"Take it off for me. I need to cook," he said again.

She nodded, unbuckled the strap, and placed it back in the box.

"Put it on the dresser," he added, "Then go do whatever you want."

"Okay," she brought it to his dresser, only to be greeted by the sight of over a dozen more watches.

Wow, he had so many watches.

Her eyes scanned his collection swiftly; every one of them looked good. She chuckled slyly before placing the one she bought for him at the very top.

No matter how good the rest were, they weren't from her.

She felt that the one she chose was the best.

After lingering in his dressing room for a moment, she remembered she needed to rinse the cups she bought, so she came out.

Liam was cooking spaghetti in the kitchen.

She ripped open the packaging and rinsed the cup in the sink beside him.

Liam glanced at her and couldn't help but asked, "New cups?" "Yeah, I just bought them. They're couple mugs." She smiled as she glanced at him, worried that he wouldn't like them, or worse, defining their relationship as a couple.

However, Liam didn't seem to mind. She saw the corners of his lips raised slightly as if he liked the idea.

He didn't find the word distasteful. On the contrary, he liked it.

"Why do you keep balking? Or is it because you don't want me there?"

Seeing how adamant he was, Maria felt that Liam was very keen on going.

She immediately shook her head, "That's not true. I just think it's too risky for you to go."

"Alright, enough with that. Let's eat first."

"Mm, okay," she smiled adorkably. She picked up her fork and began to eat the food, "Wow, this is delicious, probably the best spaghetti I've had in my life."

Liam looked at her with mixed emotions in his eyes.

After that, they went downstairs together.

Maria was still worried even in the car. She couldn't help enjoining him, "Liam, I'll pick up my classmate at the airport later. Don't get out of the car. Once we pick him up, I'll arrange a hotel room for him. You don't have to worry about anything, okay?"

"Okay," he nodded without any objection.

At the airport.

After they arrived, Maria called Adrian on the phone while Liam waited in the car.

He was already at the airport's entrance when she called.

As soon as they met, he rushed over and pulled her into a tight hug.

"Gosh, I've waited for almost an hour."

"Adrian, let me go," Maria gasped, "I can't breathe."

Adrian loosened his grip a little but continued to hug her. He bowed his head and said, "What have you been up to? Your face is looking plump and red."

"Screw you." Maria reached out and pushed his chest.

Inside the car, Liam's brows tightly knitted as he watched the scene from a distance.

The air that night was dry and scorching. But what was worse was his mood; he was inexplicably livid.

He wanted to get out of his car and beat that guy hugging Maria into a pulp.
