On that day, Celeste went back to her home in London in the afternoon.

The previous night, she told Maria a lot of things about her relationship with Gary. She also talked about Janice during the two days in London. Soon, Maria basically knew everything about her relationship with Gary.

Celeste felt that she was too lonely, so she needed a friend to talk to so she could vent out her feelings. Maria was her best friend.

They talked a lot, and after she hung up the phone, she packed up and returned to London.

Since she was staying in the room which was overflowing with her memories with Gary, she would miss him even more.

Celeste would miss him just by taking a glance at the room and detecting his faint scent on the furniture.

She couldn't control her impulses.

Her longing for him surged like a tide.

She didn't dare stay any longer, so in the end, she returned to her home in London. She felt much better after meeting up with Maria.

At the very least, she would not feel so uncomfortable and uneasy.

Even if she wanted to go back to school, she would still feel that it was unbearable.

"Why do you look so listless? Your eye bags are sagging. Did you sleep well?" Maria could tell at a glance that Celeste had not slept well as she had a bleary gaze, "Was Gary too overpowering at night and refused to let you sleep?"

Celeste felt a little guilty and said with an embarrassed smile, "That's partially the reason."

Maria immediately chuckled, "Yes, I can imagine it. Although he seems to be very cold and reserved, he is actually very sultry. Once he goes on the offense, I'm pretty sure that he will be much more uncontrollable than normal people would be. Your current condition tells me how sultry he is."

"What? It's not all because of that," Celeste didn't know whether to laugh or cry and explained, "I didn't have a good rest, that's all. When Gary left, I was on tenterhooks. I kept worrying that something might happen to him, and only when he landed did I feel at ease."

"But then I found that he directly ran into Janice at the Boston Airport. Janice's the person who has always had feelings for him."

"I was worried that he might fall for Janice's plot. She might confess to him and choose to pursue him. I was worried that Gary would fall in love with her. Do you know what kind of feeling that is?"

Speaking of that, Celeste smiled embarrassedly. She felt that she was petty and laughed, "Look at me. I'm so tangled up inside that I came back to talk to you."

It was rare for her to say so much at one time, so Maria was surprised.

Maria had always thought that Celeste had never been a person who talked about such an affair, but it seemed that her personality had changed a lot since she had taken the initiative to bring up such matters.

At the very least, confessing could relieve people's mood a lot.

"I'm surprised that you're telling me these things. You were never a person willing to tell everything to others. However, you told me everything. Celeste, I really think that you've made progress," Maria praised Celeste from the bottom of her heart, "You became a person who doesn't hold everything in your heart anymore."

"Do you really think that I've made progress?" On the contrary, Celeste felt more embarrassed, "Don't you think that I'm being too jealous?"

"Girls should be a little jealous, shouldn't they? I'll tell you something and you'll understand," Maria led Celeste to her room.

Celeste followed her. Maria closed the door and took a seat before speaking.

"It's about Liam and I. Sometimes, I feel somewhat jealous when he talks to other girls, especially when I think he may have feelings for another girl. I'm even more envious when that happens. Hence, I think every girl has a bit of jealousy. You don't have to feel that you're being weird. Everyone is more or less the same. It depends on how we can relieve ourselves and how we view it."

Celeste listened to Maria's advice with a confused look on her face.

"I can't believe that you're jealous as well. I've always thought that you're a very cheerful person." Maria had the corner of her lips twitched as she shook her head, "No, I'm also a person who gets jealous easily. However, I can talk myself out of it, and I believe you can do it too."

After looking at it for some time, they were tired and chatted for a while. The feeling of studying together was a lot better. At least, they didn't feel lonely.

After Celeste stopped, her longing for Gary had also dissipated by quite a bit.

In the afternoon, Maria received an invitation on her phone for a video call. Celeste glanced at it inadvertently and realized that it was Liam.

She smiled slightly and said, "Liam's video calling you. You should pick it up. I'll leave first and I won't bother you two."

Celeste planned to exit the room, leaving some personal space for Maria and Liam.

Maria thought about it for a while before stopping

Celeste all of a sudden, saying, "Don't be in such a hurry, Celeste. Why don't you say hello to Liam as well? We all know each other anyway."

Celeste was stunned and burst into laughter, "I guess I should say hello and congratulate him. However, I'll leave after greeting him."

"Alright then, let's exchange greetings," After saying that, Maria accepted the video call invitation.

The very next second, Liam's handsome face popped out in front of her. When he saw the two girls in the video, he was slightly stunned.

The astonishment on his handsome face was evident. Both Maria and Celeste noticed it.

Maria still felt a little nervous. She knew very well Celeste's position in Liam's heart, and she also knew that Liam had always been thinking about Celeste.

That was what worried her the most.

Even though Liam was with Maria at that moment, she felt that he was retreating for the second best. Nevertheless, Maria's only thought upon stopping Celeste from leaving was the greed for Liam to face the two of them openly.
