"What is it?" Maria immediately grew nervous.

"I met Liam just now. He is going to take a plane to London to surprise you. He didn't want me to tell you, but I felt that I really should."

"What, he's coming to England?" Maria was very surprised.

"That's right, so it will be better for you to prepare yourself. He should arrive at noon."

"I'll pick him up. I want to pick him up at the airport," Maria shrieked out of joy and planted kisses on her phone, chiming, "Celeste, I love you. I love you so much, thank you."

Celeste smiled. She felt much lighter with that out of the way.

After hanging up, she gave the taxi driver the address of the Jones family from four years ago. They were probably still residing there, but Celeste wasn't sure. Hence, she decided to call them first after she reached her destination.

When she reached the Jones family's mansion, she had no choice but to call Gary as she did not have an access card to enter.

Gary was on the verge of falling asleep when he heard his phone ringing. He frowned and picked it up to check who it was. When he saw Celeste's name on the screen, he reeled in surprise. He answered the phone and said a single word, "Celeste".

Celeste listened to his voice, as warm and neutral as always. In fact, it was a little hoarse.

He was so disappointed when he had left, but he was still so patient with her then. It was a huge comfort to her.

Hence, she asked softly, "Are you still at the Jones family's villa from four years ago?"

Gary was slightly taken aback. He reacted sharply, immediately bolting up from his bed while asking, "Did you come here?"

Celeste took a deep breath, her hands trembling.

Of course, Gary picked up on Celeste's abnormality. Hope swelled like a torrent in his heart. He asked again, "Celeste, where are you?"

In a small voice, Celeste squeaked, "I'm outside the villa from four years ago. I'm not sure if you still live here. I don't have an access card, so I can't get in."

"Wait there. I'll bring you inside immediately."

"I'm on the left side of the gate," Celeste quickly informed him.

"Alright, wait for me there. I'll go out to bring you inside. It won't take long," Gary said as he put on his clothes. He did not hang up, so she could hear all the swishing noises coming from his end.

Listening to those noises, she could tell that he was in a tizzy. She murmured softly, "You don't have to rush. I can wait outside."

"Don't hang up. I'm going out now," As he said that, Gary gave the door a light push and walked outside.

He walked so fast that he was almost running. When he got downstairs, he got into the car and drove to the gate.

As the gate and the door of the villa were separated by a considerable distance, he decided to drive there.

When the car arrived at the gate of the villa, he saw the figure that he missed so much standing on the other side of the gate, surrounded by greenery. She was clutching her phone, her gaze wandering.

He looked at her from afar. When he saw Celeste, he thought to himself that it was enough for him.

Now that she was here, there was no need to say anything. Her mere presence was enough.

He knew that she still had feelings for him.

Gary's heart overflowed with tenderness. From time to time, Celeste would look in the direction of the villa, carrying her big suitcase.

He turned the car around and parked it beside Celeste. Then, he stepped out of the car and ended the call.

Celeste then saw his tall and elegant figure/

When he got closer, Celeste noticed how red his eyes were. They were filled with worry. She asked, "Didn't you get a good rest?"

Gary did not say anything in reply. He walked over, reached over with his long limbs, and pulled Celeste into his embrace.

He hugged Celeste tightly. His voice drifted into Celeste's ears, "Why did you suddenly come back here?"

It was only when Celeste was in his arms that he felt that she belonged to him.

His sudden embrace startled Celeste. In a muffled voice, she mumbled into his arms, "I finally started seeing straight. I should attend the funeral."

Gary smiled, then hugged her even tighter.

"So you finally found your conscience?"

Gary, who was lying on the bed, immediately smiled when he saw her. He got up and produced a hairdryer to dry her hair with. His movements seemed so natural.

Neither of them mentioned reconciling, but their actions spoke for them. They had come to a tacit understanding.

After drying Celeste's hair, Gary opened her luggage. All the clothes inside were black. It was a sea of black clothing.

This ruffled him. He sighed and said, "You are indeed well-prepared."

Celeste took a change of clothes and went to the bathroom to change.

When she came out, she was wearing black from head to toe, which made her look even slimmer.

Gary looked at her tenderly and embraced her in his arms without saying anything. He carried her to the bed and whispered, "Sleep for a while. We were all busy last night and my mother slept late too. I don't think she'll wake up early today."

Celeste glanced at his tired face and said in a low voice, "You should sleep first. I'm not sleepy since I slept on the plane for a long time. I'll stay here and listen for any sound of activity. I'll wake you up then, okay?"

"There's no need. You don't have to worry that much. They will knock on my door to wake me up. We'll leave then. Come on, let's sleep together."

Celeste nodded and urged, "Hurry up and rest."

Gary kissed her on the cheek and hugged her. He buried his face in her neck and quickly fell asleep.

Celeste dared not move. She listened to his familiar breathing. She could tell that Gary had really fallen asleep.

He must have been exhausted.

She waited until he was deep in sleep before she moved. She looked at the handsome but tired face of the man in front of her and sighed softly.

However, in the next second, Gary's eyes flew open, belying a trace of panic. When he saw

Celeste, he was obviously relieved.

"Don't worry, I won't go. Sleep well," Celeste assured him.

Gary shut his eyes and fell back asleep.
