Celeste was about to close the door after entering her room when she saw Gary lying on the bed. His charming eyes stared at her unblinkingly. He smiled and said, "Finally back after two hours?"

Celeste was surprised. "Why are you still in my room? Didn't I tell you to go back to yours?"

"I didn't leave because I have something important to do," Gary said matter-of-factly.

"What are you talking about?"

"You haven't taken your medicine yet, I'll help you with it!" Gary got up from the bed and poured Celeste some water. He then looked at her and said, "You have to take your medicine on time, don't forget it, okay?"

Celeste thought back and realized she really did forget to take her medicine.

He personally took care of Celeste's medicine routine. He was acting so gentle and considerate and it made her feel a little apologetic.

Celeste looked at him and said, "Well, now that I've taken my medicine, I feel a lot better. Go back to your room and rest, it's getting late."

Gary broke into a smile as soon as he heard her. He narrowed his eyes and looked at the woman before him. He said, "Since you feel fine now, let's do a little something fun!"

Celeste was stunned as she processed what he had just said. She immediately felt embarrassed. "I don't want to do anything, I'm tired and I just want to sleep."

Gary's handsome face remained calm as he gave a faint smile. Then, he walked over and reached out to take her arm with an upward curve on his lips.

He lowered his head and stared at Celeste with his ink black eyes. He said in a low and gruff voice, "You can go ahead and sleep, and I'll promptly do what I need to do! Don't worry, I'll do my best to please you."

Celeste blushed at his implication. "Gary, stop messing around."

"I'm not messing around, but we've made up. Celeste, the doctor said we should let nature take its course and allow you to be more enthusiastic. You can also treat it as a means of a cure."

Celeste was speechless. She regretted telling Gary the advice she received from her doctor, now he had the power to tease her.

This was the Jones family, so she didn't want to cause any trouble.

Celeste remained silent for a while.

Silence pervaded the air. She didn't dare to look at Gary, but Gary lowered his head and stared deeply at her.

It seemed like he wasn't going to leave until she gave him an answer.

After a good while, Celeste collected herself and said, "Then, have you taken any measures? Are you prepared for it? Did you consider what might happen if I got pregnant again?"

Gary looked at her and swiftly took out two packets from his pocket. His thin lips curved into an evil smile as he said, "See, I came prepared."

Celeste was dumbfounded.

She identified what those two small packets were in a single glance.

She didn't expect Gary to have everything planned out. Looking into it, It seemed like he had gotten everything ready when they left the mall earlier in the day.

Celeste thought to herself, "Can we not do it tonight?"

She spoke, "Grandpa just passed away and we're still mourning. Do you really think indulging in intimacy would be respectful to the old man?"

Gary said in a deep voice, "If I were him, I would probably say my grandson's happiness is the most important thing of all. He might even shake my hands in approval, you don't need to worry about it."

He had completely deflected her excuses, and Celeste could only stare blankly at Gary.

The grassy fragrance on his body fused with his faint unique scent, slowly attacking her, getting closer and closer. Celeste felt her heart pound faster.

Thump. Thump.

Each thump of her heart felt like it was about to pop out of her chest and jump into her throat. One more beat would have been all it took for it to come rushing out of her.

In a panic, she couldn't help but avoid Gary.

As she moved, he turned his head, and her lips brushed against Gary's angular cheeks.

For a moment, both of them froze.

Celeste was shocked for a moment and couldn't respond. She felt the electricity in her body run through her limbs, a familiar yet unfamiliar sensation all at once.

It had been almost three months since they were intimate.

This time, her heart was cluttered with emotions, and it was difficult for her to resist.

She felt like it might have been too long since they've done it. She was scared, horrified even, but at the same time, she was excited.

Gary naturally felt the same.

When Celeste's lips brushed his cheek mere seconds ago, he immediately tensed up.

Only God knows how much he had to endure these past few days.

Now, however, Gary couldn't hold back his excitement as they moved closer, and his vision went blank for an instant. In the next second, he wanted to pick Celeste up and go straight to her bed.

As soon as he lowered his head, he was surprised by Celeste's expression.

Celeste was stunned and didn't move for a while. Thinking of her lost child, there was nothing she could do to soothe the crying sorrow in her heart. She bit her lips and endured the pain.

She had been keeping the words inside of her for too long. Maybe she repressed it a little too much, which led to the people around her telling her to not be too dramatic.

After careful deliberation, Celeste gathered her courage and finally said, "Gary, to tell you the truth,

Celeste stared up at him for a few seconds. Seeing the embarrassed smile on his handsome face, Celeste felt a strange sadness in her heart, the kind that was hurting and unpleasant.

In its core, Gary's heart ached for her.

Yet he interrupted her and never fully understood what she was trying to say. This man!

It was funny and painful at the same time.

At that moment, Gary pretended to be relaxed and said, "Alright, alright, let's go to sleep. I'll be your humble bed-warmer, is that okay?"

Celeste nodded without explaining anything, but there was resolve in her eyes. She knew she had to take the initiative to do something tonight.

Gary could endure anything for her sake, what excuse did she have to not do the same for him? Celeste made her decision to try even harder.

After Gary made her bed, he turned around and went to the bathroom.

She eyed his tall figure as he sauntered into the bathroom, his long shadow acted like her guardian protector, and Celeste's heart grew warm and soft.

When Gary came out of the bathroom, it was Celeste's turn to wash up. After hastily changing into pajamas, Celeste switched off the lights.

The light in the room dimmed, leaving only a small night light on the bedside table. They could only see each other's silhouette, but their expressions were obscured. The thin light only added to the fuzzy atmosphere.

Gary lifted the blankets and said to Celeste, "Come quickly, it's warm in here."

Celeste did as he said and snuggled herself into the blankets, clinging to his warm body.

Gary pulled her into his arms like it was second nature. His tall body exuded warmth and stability that melted Celeste's ice-cold body and her lonely empty heart.

Gary said tenderly, "Go to sleep. Your immune system will thank you if you sleep well and early."

Celeste didn't respond.

Gary lowered his head and glanced at her when Celeste coincidentally looked up at him.

Gary couldn't make out her expressions in the dark. He raised his eyebrows and asked, "Why are you looking at me? Why aren't you sleeping?"

Celeste adored him with her whole heart. It was obvious he couldn't control his urges and really wanted to do it with her, but despite it all, he chose to respect her wishes.

The corners of Celeste's mouth were raised, and a faint smile appeared on the line of her lips.

Perhaps her body shook from her laughing, and Gary had felt it. He let out a sound of confusion then asked in a gruff voice, "Why are you laughing? What's so funny about? You're not going to sleep?"

Celeste continued staring at Gary with a dreamy look until she suddenly raised her head and kissed Gary on the lips.
