Leah blinked her eyes and asked, "Do you really want to know?"

"Of course." Ernest nodded.

She looked towards the door. It was obvious that she still felt like Rowane was outside, so she didn't want to say anything right now.

Ernest understood what she meant of course. He walked over to the door and looked out from the peephole. As expected, Rowane was standing there, refusing to leave.

Ernest frowned. He felt that it was necessary for him to say something, especially as Leah's boyfriend. He should protect her and stand up for her.

Otherwise, Leah would continue to be harassed like this for who knew how many more times.

He had been so shocked seeing what happened that day. Never in his life had he met someone so shameless and brazen.

Ernest looked back at Leah and said, "Go wash your face now and have a rest. I'll go out and have a talk with your sister!"

Leah was taken aback. She immediately lowered her voice and said, "What are you going to say to her?"

"Don't worry about it. Anyway, I'll make sure she doesn't bother you anymore. She's so annoying." Ernest was very frustrated.

Leah didn't have the mood to go wash up and rest. She was curious about what Ernest was planning to say to Rowane.

Ernest reached out to pull on the door handle. As soon as he appeared, Rowane was shocked. She stared at him in a daze. When he stepped out alone, a subtle hint of pleasure glinted in her eyes.

She looked at Ernest and immediately said with a smile, "Mr. Jones, why did you come back out? I knew you were a good person. You're clearly well-mannered. Did you come out because you were worried about me being outside?"

Ernest was speechless.

Where on earth did she get her confidence?

He couldn't believe she would even think that.

"You think too highly of yourself, Miss Winston. I'm not that kind. To be honest, if it were up to me, I'd have you shipped off somewhere, never to return," Ernest said ruthlessly.

In his point of view, being nice to Rowane would only drive him crazy.

So he didn't bother.

Rowane's jaw hung open slightly from the shock. "Mr... Mr. Jones, is this some kind of sick joke?"

"It's not a joke. Do you not speak plain English? When Leah asked you to leave twice earlier, why didn't you leave?" Ernest's tone was flat and emotionless. Every word he spoke was like a sharp blade that pierced through Rowane's skin.

Rowane was stunned and hurriedly explained, "Mr. Jones, you've truly misunderstood me. My sister is the one who always gets angry at me for no reason. I know it's because of my mother. But, I honestly care for her a lot. I love my sister."

"Shut up." Ernest glanced at Rowane coldly, pointed to the stairs and said in a low voice, "Please leave here immediately, or I will throw you out."

Rowane stared at Ernest in a daze. She was shocked by Ernest's calm and handsome face. A terrifying sense of danger overwhelmed her, and her heart was beating fast.

She was not willing to leave. Pouting, she said, "Mr. Jones, since you are my sister's boyfriend, you will also be my brother-in-law in the future. Is it right for you to be so rude to your sister-in-law? Or do you look down on us because we're a simple family?"

"Then I'll wait for you. I'll bring the strawberries over. I can't finish them by myself."

Hogan did not say anything and quickly hung up the phone.

After going back to the room, Ernest saw Leah staring at him with her arms crossed.

He smiled and felt a little embarrassed.

Leah laughed and said, "You were really fierce just now. I'm sure Rowane must have been heavily shocked. You're usually so gentle and soft. I never expected you to have such a menacing side to you when you're mad. Even talking about shipping her off, I'm sure she must have been scared out of her wits."

Ernest laughed and said, "Sorry, I really couldn't hold back my temper. I think it's quite unusual that I vented my anger on your sister. I honestly thought I'd never get angry, but I guess everyone has those days."

"I think the first time you got mad was when you beat up Hogan, and the second time was at my sister. It's only been a day. Ernest, you're really breaking all the rules for me today."

He mulled over what she said and realized she was right. He had been breaking a lot of his principles for Leah. He smiled faintly at her and said, "I will try my best to control my temper from now on."

"Good, you're making progress." Leah laughed. "Anyway, we should just ignore her. That's honestly the best way to retaliate. The happier we are together, the more anxious she becomes."

"We don't have to show off our love to her," Leah said in a low voice. "Let me make you something to eat. What are you in the mood for?"

"I'm in the mood for you." Leah stared at Ernest with burning eyes, "Are you going to let me have

you?"
