"When will Sinclair arrive?" Gary asked.
"Half-past ten. Their flights are just half an hour apart."
"Okay. Let us know when they meet up," Gary ordered, seeming like the leader of a gang.
"Sure," the person on the other end replied.
After he ended the call, the three of them continued to watch the footage together.
As they watched, Gary said, "Do you guys want something to drink?"
"Coffee or tea?" Ernest asked.
"Let's have tea," Liam answered. "You guys continue watching. I'll make some tea for us."
"It's probably better to let the butler make us tea and some supper. Celeste should be hungry," Gary said, taking out his phone and calling the butler.
"Prepare some for Maria too. She must be hungry," Liam piped up.
Gary made an OK gesture and gave the order to the butler.
The butler got to work quickly.
In less than ten minutes, the tea was delivered.
When he saw what they were looking at on the tablet, the butler exclaimed, "Oh my gosh! How shocking!"
All three of them looked at him.
The butler smiled, not feeling embarrassed at all. Instead, he shrugged and said, "This seems to be intruding on someone else's privacy, doesn't it? Can I have a look?"
Gary nodded. "Go ahead. No one is stopping you. Will you be able to learn a thing or two after you see this?"
"Of course. One is never too old to learn." The butler smiled and continued, "If I learn it well, I could try it with my wife. Tsk tsk, how skillful. This man is obviously an old hand at this. This woman is good-looking and has a good figure. However, from my observation, she should be in her forties." Gary looked at him and said, "Not bad. Your observation skills are pretty good."
"Of course. I've had my fair share of experiences, so naturally, I'm quite good at observing people," the butler replied, not shy about it at all. "May I know why you're watching this?"
"We're learning," Gary answered without shame.
The butler shook his head. "What's there to learn? The girls would be embarrassed to use these toys, nor would they want to. Only older women like her would want to try it."
Liam and Ernest were silent, but they could not help nodding.
Gary looked at the butler for a while. He finally said, "You're quite amusing. You've made me see you in a new light. What you said makes sense. Girls would find it very hard to try these."
The four of them started to have a lively discussion downstairs.
After a while, the butler said, "I think that's quite enough. Mr. Gary, you and Mr. Liam both have girlfriends, but do consider Mr. Ernest. He doesn't have a girlfriend, so won't he feel uncomfortable watching this? It'll only make the night even longer."
"Leave us. Go and prepare our supper," Ernest retorted.
The butler laughed. "All right. I'll leave now."
With that, he quickly left.
Ernest rolled his eyes. "He's really such a busybody."
"Lonely old men love getting involved in young people's matters," Gary said. When he thought of how the butler had mistaken Janice as his girlfriend, he could not help feeling helpless and frustrated.
The old butler really loved to get involved in other people's matters.
That night, Cindy and Michael had a good time, enjoying themselves on the sofa and continuing all the way upstairs.
Even when they reached the bedroom, they still kept going. Finally, they were both exhausted.
"In the end, they still lost to age, didn't they?" Gary remarked.
Liam did not know whether to laugh or cry at that remark. Nonetheless, even though the couple they watched were indeed getting on in age, what they did was something that not everybody had the strength to do.
Soon, Cindy and Michael fell asleep.
Time passed by. At about half- past ten, Gary's phone rang again.
"Mr. Jones, Sinclair and Monica have met. They got into a car together. From the looks of it, it should be a private car that was arranged in advance."
"Check where the car came from," Gary said in a low voice.
"Yes, sir."
After a while, another call came.
"The car belongs to Sinclair. He bought a villa four years ago, and it's in the same area as Cindy's villa," the person said. "The driver is also the person taking care of the villa."
"Which one is it?" Gary asked.
"It's just 500 meters away from Cindy's villa," the person on the line said.
Then, he added, "I'll send you the exact information."
"Okay," Gary replied.
After a little while, the information was sent to Gary's phone.
Gary looked at it and checked the specific location. Then, he immediately said into the phone, "Go to Sinclair's house right now and install surveillance cameras there. It'll take them an hour to reach the villa. Hurry, there's still time."
"Okay," the person on the other end answered. "We're happy with the amount you gave us."
"I'll give you the best I can offer. In fact, I'll give you another twenty percent," Gary said in a deep voice.
Some memories should not be recalled as they would only bring regret.
Gary smiled. "It's not too late for you to see her true colors. If I had seen what she was really like earlier, then Maria would never have had the chance to save you."
Liam's lips twitched.
Cindy and Michael both fell asleep once more.
After forty minutes, someone called Gary from Sinclair's villa.
"The installation is complete. Sinclair and Monica have already entered the residential area, and we have retreated," the person said.
"That's good. You weren't discovered, right?"
"No. We got into the property management system, and they couldn't see us at all."
"That's great." Gary laughed.
After he ended the call, Gary looked at Ernest and Liam. "It's done. Let's guess, will Sinclair and Monica go and find Cindy first, or will they go to their villa?"
"Their villa," Liam replied.
Ernest nodded. "I think the two of them should be heading back to their villa too."
"Why do you think that?"
"The Monica I know would have come prepared, and she's probably not in a hurry this time," Liam said. "Sinclair was also badly hurt. The last video was leaked by Cindy. She was the one that caused Sinclair and Monica so much misery. Naturally, they will want to settle the score."
Gary nodded. "Not bad. You're right. I'll go and get another tablet to view the footage in Sinclair's house. Let's see what's going on there."
"Okay. Well wait for you," Ernest said.
"I'm going upstairs too," Liam said with a smile. "I
want to check on Maria."
Ernest smiled, as if he had understood something.
He did not expect Liam to treat Maria so well. It seemed that they were getting to know each other more, which was why Liam was being so gentle and considerate.
The two of them went upstairs.
Ernest was the only one left downstairs.
The butler came out with the supper. When he saw him alone, he said with a smile, "Mr. Ernest, you look so pitiful alone."
Ernest was speechless. He finally said, "What's pitiful about me? You're saying it as if something has happened to me."
