Alex had long known that Gary had a sharp tongue.
It seemed that it was still intact.
Cindy did not even have the energy to get angry at him.
She looked at the ceiling, then looked down at herself. She was still hooked up to a blood bag. She curled her lips into a faint smile.
"Perhaps you are right. The devil might not even want me. Aren't I extraordinary?" After a slight pause, Cindy continued, "You said that your mother is better than me in everything, is that right? I don't agree. She's only ever slept with one man throughout her entire life. I, on the other hand, have slept with dozens. Your mother will not be able to beat me in this aspect."
Alex let out a loud scoff at that.
When Gary didn't refute her, Alex couldn't help himself from spitting, "You're such a shameless skank! You're just disgusting."
"Why are you so angry?" Cindy smirked, "I'm only telling the truth."
"You shameless wench. Do you know that Master Gary donated two entire bags of blood to you? You heartless b*tch? Why didn't you just drop dead just now?" Alex cursed her angrily.
When Cindy heard this, she was stunned and gasped, "What did you say?"
No one answered her.
Gary glared at Alex, secretly cursing Alex for his big mouth.
"You donated your blood to me? Why?" Cindy asked Gary.
Gary didn't want to talk to her anymore. He looked back at Heinz and asked instead, "Heinz, when are we leaving?"
"Hold on for a moment, I want to say something to her first," Heinz walked over to Cindy and grunted, "Cindy, my son donated some of his blood to you to save your life. Consider this as payment for raising Celeste. From now on, you and Celeste have nothing to do with each other. She does not owe you anything anymore."
Cindy frowned and glanced at Heinz. A sense of longing was still evident in her gaze as she scoffed, "That's it? You think that's enough to repay me?"
"If you still think that she owes you more, why don't you go pay Yannie's grave a visit once you get back? Talk it out with her there and see if you think any differently after that," Heinz fixed his sharp gaze on her.
Cindy instantly panicked. She looked conflicted.
Heinz knew very well that Cindy had never visited Yannie's grave because she felt guilty towards Yannie.
That was why Cindy had yet to pay respects at Yannie's grave.
Yannie had offed herself. As such, Cindy was worried that Yannie's restless spirit would haunt her in the cemetery.
As such, the thought of visiting Yannie never even crossed her mind.
Cindy hurriedly avoided Heinz's gaze. She noticed the blood flowing into her veins from the needle still stuck in her arm and just snickered softly, "You guys are so strange. I can't believe you guys saved me. Either way, thank you. But this does not mean that Celeste's debt to me has been paid off."
"Are you kidding me? I've never met anyone as shameless as you," Gary sneered.
"Well, it seems like today's your lucky day. I've always been shameless, so it shouldn't be a surprise to you. By the way, I filmed something that's going to be released soon. Heinz, I'll dedicate it to you as thanks for your son's help,"
Cindy said to Heinz.
Heinz shot her a mocking smile, "I assume that you're going to star as the only female in this film, right? Along with a bunch of other men?"
Heinz had guessed right.
Cindy only chuckled, "Yes, I'm the only female protagonist in it."
"This is going to be your last film, isn't it? It's not like you can film any more of these in the future. You've damaged your uterus by filming this, so I suppose you'll be living a lonely, sexless life in the future."
Heinz had a sharp tongue as well. His words dug into Cindy's heart like knives.
Cindy froze at that. However, she managed to force a smile on her face and pretended to toughen up.
"There are plenty of women who have gotten their uteruses removed. I just won't be able to have a baby. Getting a man won't be a problem. Don't fret over my wellbeing. You should be more optimistic, just like me," Cindy remarked shamelessly.
Horror flashed through Cindy's eyes.
She didn't spare another look at Gary. Instead, she pursed her lips and turned to Heinz, insisting, "You and your son are just trying to get a rise out of me. I'm not going to be fooled by you. I know you two saved me because you were worried about me. You didn't want me to die."
Heinz's only response was a smirk, "How egocentric of you. Well, it seems like you've recovered tremendously well. Take good care of yourself. Just sit back and watch as everything gets stripped away from you."
"Oh, one more thing: my mother's pregnant again. She's expecting twins," Gary informed Cindy smugly.
Cindy was shocked by the news. Pain flashed through her eyes as she wailed, "She's pregnant again? She's already so old! How can she possibly give birth at her age?"
"She's much better than you. After all, you won't be able to bear any children in the future. Furthermore, you're a really easy woman, aren't you? Any man can have their way with you. You're just a flirt with no moral integrity," Gary turned around and shuffled towards the door.
Cindy immediately turned towards Heinz and asked, "You're leaving?"
Gary ignored her and urged Heinz, "Let's head home. I don't want to waste any more time on a woman like her."
"Let's go," Heinz agreed.
Meanwhile, Alex glared at Cindy before following Gary out the door.
"Heinz, don't go," Cindy immediately called out.
"What's wrong? You can't bear for us to leave?" Heinz smiled. Looking at Heinz's handsome face, Cindy's heartbeat involuntarily sped up.
She looked at Heinz with longing.
She could not give this man up. It hurt that she could not get him to be hers.
"I just can't bear for you to leave," Cindy smiled wryly, "Congratulations, Heinz. Grace is really good at giving birth, isn't she? Isn't she worried about getting loose down there?"
Heinz narrowed his eyes at her and only chuckled under his breath, "You're thinking too much. She will forever be my one and only beloved. She's not like you. I'm sure your body's condition has long deteriorated after all those men that you've been with."
