"I'll leave after some words with her," Heinz said.

"Are you saying we should leave you two on your own then?" Ernest shrugged, looking disdainful. "Don't you even feel embarrassed?"

I'm sorry but I can never leave you and her alone," Ernest rejected before reminding Heinz, "Don't forget that you're now a father of six. Your wife and children are waiting for you. Keep that in mind when you interact with other women. There are things that you should know better to avoid."

Heinz was startled and at the same time was rendered speechless upon hearing what Ernest said. He was just wanting to tell Marry something, yet Ernest made it sound like he was having an affair with Marry.

Heinz then came up with a solution. "Fine. I'll do this in front of both of you then."

Ernest nodded. He didn't seem to feel that he was being too much.

He even said outright, "We are responsible to monitor your behavior on Mom's behalf since she's not here with us. So just say it in front of us."

Marry shook her head helplessly as well as she heard what Ernest said. "No worries. I'm not interested in your father at all. Even if he's really handsome, I'm won't be attracted to him."

"It's hard to say. You probably didn't expect to have such a peaceful conversation with us and our dad if this was ten years ago. Besides, you wouldn't have expected for yourself to be able to let things go. Time flies and changes are constant. You see, we can't really predict the future." Ernest was clearly not believing her words.

Everyone else was startled upon hearing his aggressive statement.

That was especially so for Heinz.

He felt like he had offended Ernest.

It did also seem inappropriate for him to suggest for them to be left alone in the room.

Thus, Heinz didn't want to dwell on it any longer.

He said, "Marry, let's just make things clear now. Simon admitted that he still has feelings for you, and he can tell that you're still in love with him too. He wants to start all over again with you. Judging from your earlier reaction, I think there's still a chance for you to get back together as it seems like you still have strong feelings for him. I hope you can cherish this opportunity and the fate between you two, and not let anything get in between you. Perhaps you are really meant to be with each other in order to complement each other, and perhaps this could finally put an end to everything between us. Therefore, I hope things will work out well for you two, and let's not waste anymore time in your life."

Gary nodded. He joined in by saying, "You two troublemakers should just stick together. Who knows? You might be able to become decent again once you two get together, and maybe the bad things about both of you can even be salvaged."

He somehow felt that Marry and Simon were a perfect match then.

They should be together if they were still in love.

Otherwise, they wouldn't stop creating trouble.

They should just focus on building a life together since they still had feelings for each other. Otherwise, they would both have too much time on their hands. So, it would be better if they just be with each other, and they wouldn't be holding grudges against everyone else.

Marry was also startled as she heard that. Her emotions were surging within her eyes, as if those words had struck a chord in her heart. She restrained herself a little as she asked, "Did he really tell you that? Did he say that... he still needs me?"

Heinz nodded, agreeing her assumption without hesitation.

"He had a phone call with Grace and had said to put an end to their history. He said he wants to be with you again, and start things anew. Why don't I let someone send you to him so that you two can have a talk?" Heinz suggested.

Marry hesitated for a couple of seconds before nodding solemnly. "Bring me to him."

She knew that she had to gather up her courage for some things in life, otherwise she would only be living in regrets if she really missed the chances completely. That was the opportunity for Marry to lead a blissful life. She had to take the initiative and grasp it.

Simon was overwhelmed by his emotions as well.

He had not touched a woman ever since he was sent to jail.

Right then, he was standing completely naked under the shower, whereas she suddenly appeared in front of him. Everything was unexpected, and Simon could feel his blood rushing.

He started recalling their history together as he stared at Marry in astonishment.

He couldn't react or say anything. He could only stand there under the shower and feel the water splashing on his body.

Marry mustered up her courage and walked in.

She joined him under the shower, standing in front of him, and wrapped her arms around Simon.

Simon froze in an instant. He could only continue to let the water run on his body. Marry said, word by word, "Simon, do you still love me after all these years? If the answer is yes, I'm willing to go into this bravely again, despite knowing that I might be throwing myself at trouble and make myself miserable again. However, if you still want to be with me, I am willing to be brave, and I can risk everything again for you."

Simon nodded his head firmly almost instantaneously.

He thought for a while.

He then said emotionally, "Of course I want to be with you. That's all I want to do. I really regretted not cherishing what we had before. I was such a fool to miss out on so much with you. I shouldn't have hurt you like that. It wasn't worth it at all. We have lost so much in the end. I want to start all over again with you, if possible. Thank you for loving me. You know, when I was in jail, I've been thinking back on all the memories we had. Thank you for giving me so much. Also, I can't thank you enough for taking care of my parents on my behalf."

Marry felt emotional too to finally hear him thanking her. She started feeling hopeful again.
