"Whatever I like?" Ernest thought about it for a while. He seemed to find it funny, and he asked, "What's there to talk about?"
"Maybe you can tell me why you're so good at fighting?" Leah was still starstruck at the scene of how he fended off four men by himself.
Ernest didn't think it was anything to shout about and he smiled faintly. "I just train regularly."
"Just training was enough to make you so good?" Leah was very surprised.
"Well, I guess it's ok. I didn't think much of it at the time." Ernest tried his best to recall the memory. "I was just out of elementary school and I was heading to junior high. My dad found me a coach to train us for a few years."
"Your dad's really wise." Leah was in awe of Heinz's foresight. "He prepared you guys so that you would be able to protect yourselves."
Ernest nodded. "That's most likely what he intended. Back then, we used to run into a lot of problems, so it was good that we were prepared." "How many years has it been since you stopped
training?" Leah asked curiously.
Ernest found it amusing that Leah was so curious. "I kept on training while I was in London. Although I don't do it as often now, I still have some moves left in me."
"Oh, I see. I was wondering why you weren't panicking at all. On the other hand, I was scared sh*tless," Leah muttered. "Could you give me a heads up next time we run into such a dangerous situation?"
"You want to do it again? Isn't once enough?" Ernest was shocked by Leah's words.
"Of course it's enough. I'd rather we never ran into this issue in the first place, but no one can tell the future. We might run into trouble again someday." Leah was very worried now. "I never expected Mrs. Wells to be so extreme. I know she didn't like me, but I never thought it was this bad."
"Well, people are insane, they just never show it in front of you. Or perhaps they'd never had the chance to. Once they do, you'll find that humans can be rather scary."
Leah finally discovered how Ernest was so skilled at martial arts.
She nodded seriously, her eyes filled with excitement. She smiled at Ernest and said, "Since you're so amazing, you need to protect me, okay?"
A smile flashed across Ernest's face when he saw Leah acting so coy. "Of course, it's my duty to protect you from harm."
Leah felt embarrassed when she heard that. She blushed and refused to look at Ernest.
Ernest's eyes were fixed on Leah. It was a long night, Ernest was bored as they lay in bed not doing anything.
However, he thought of how he promised not to touch Leah, so he decided to challenge himself.
He didn't want to break his promise.
Leah rolled around the bed excitedly like a puppy, and accidentally brushed up against Ernest.
Ernest's eyes filled with want.
His eyes were dark with lust.
He only hesitated for a moment before he placed his hand on Leah's waist.
His eyes sparkled as he looked at her with desire.
Leah was shocked for a moment before she blushed furiously.
Ernest's hands were very warm on her skin.
His hands were almost scalding her waist.
Ernest's hands were really doing things to her.
They had agreed to take a break.
It hadn't even been a day and Ernest was already on the verge of going crazy.
Leah's cheeks were very red and she muttered in a low voice, "You promised this morning that you wouldn't mess around tonight. You have to keep your word."
Ernest suddenly stopped breathing for a moment as he came out of his lust-filled haze. "What were you thinking about? I just wanted to touch you."
Leah's mouth hung open. She had no comeback to that.
Perhaps she'd thought too much.
She had no choice but to say it again, "Don't touch me. Didn't we agree on just chatting? You should respect my wishes."
Ernest believed that it was natural for him to react to his girlfriend. He wasn't a priest.
Therefore, he saw nothing wrong with that.
In the end, he figured that he needed to be more subtle. So, Ernest smiled and said, "Okay, I won't touch you anymore. How about we go to bed? We can get up earlier tomorrow."
"Go to bed now?" Leah didn't want to sleep yet since she didn't feel sleepy. Wasn't it too early to go to bed?
"Yes, we should go to bed now." Ernest could see that Leah wasn't sleepy at all. He was just saying Anyway, there wasn't much else he could do, his thoughts would just go crazy if he stayed awake. He might break his promise if it wore on.
Ernest also yawned as he spoke.
Leah was surprised to see him like this. "Are you really sleepy? Do you really want to go to bed?"
"I really can't hold it in any longer," Ernest's words held a double entendre.
However, he meant something completely different.
Hence, she turned over to loosen up her body.
Suddenly, Ernest did the same next to her.
Leah was shocked and immediately asked in a low voice, "Didn't you fall asleep?"
Ernest's voice was very drowsy. "Oh, I woke up as soon as you moved."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Leah apologized softly. "Maybe I can't sleep in an unfamiliar bed."
Ernest found that rather funny. She didn't have this problem in London, so Leah must have another issue.
He smiled and said, "It's fine, I'll be asleep in a moment."
After that, he stopped talking.
Leah opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but it was too quiet in the dark. In the end, she swallowed her words back into her stomach.
Silence fell over them again. Leah waited for a long time as she expected Ernest to do something, but he seemed to be genuinely asleep.
She blinked her eyes and sighed again.
Ernest laughed internally at Leah's sigh and stayed silent.
Meanwhile, a faint moan seemed to originate from the room next door. They both instantly knew what it meant.
Gary and Celeste were enjoying themselves in bed.
It was as soft as a kitten's mewl, yet Leah was unexpectedly aroused.
Another moan soon followed.
Leah couldn't hear it very clearly, but that vagueness made it all the more exciting.
The soft moans were loud in the quiet in the room, Leah bit her lip then cleared her throat and asked, "Ernest, are you asleep?"
There was no answer.
Ernest was silent as if he'd fallen asleep for real.
"You're really asleep?" Leah was a little disappointed. She muttered, "It's not like you to fall asleep so quickly."
This wasn't how Ernest usually was. He was an energetic young man, so why did he fall asleep so quickly?
