Celeste continued, "Maybe I was too stubborn, or maybe I was too young to understand, so I didn't handle that matter well."

Gary fell silent, his heart filled with self-reproach.

At this moment, he fully understood the situation. She must have found out about Janine's pregnancy, but she had yet to leave him. It only meant that she did not want to break up with him.

She nodded and cooed, "I love you too. Only you."

They hugged each other again.

No words could describe how much remorse and heartache he was feeling at that moment.

He could only blame himself for her sufferings now.

If God gave him another chance, he would cherish every moment they spent together and never break her heart.

But he didn't know if she would decide to leave him.

In the silence, they cuddled and enjoyed each other's company. They did nothing more, but the moment felt more intimate than ever.

After some time, Celeste got up from his arms.

Shocked, Gary looked up at her as she stood in front of him.

Worried, he whispered, "Celeste?"

She lowered her head and stared into his eyes, not saying a word. Then she put her arms around his neck, closing the distance between their lips. With her breath on his lips, she whispered, "I want you."

His hair stood and he gulped hard.

He couldn't believe his ears, let alone his eyes, as he had never expected her to act this way.
