Gary held Celeste tightly and kissed her so hard as if he wanted to merge as one with her.

He seemed to have gone mad as he kissed Celeste without respite.

Celeste was soon lightheaded with a lack of oxygen.

She was out of breath and her chest heaved violently as if she was drowning.

She had no choice but to tightly grab Gary's clothes to prevent herself from falling.

He was too ferocious!

He was like a starving wolf who'd been starving for prey for a long time. Once he found his target, he fixated on it and wouldn't let it go.

Celeste still maintained her rationality in the beginning, but after a while, the lack of oxygen made her unable to focus on anything else other than keeping herself upright by holding onto Gary.

Pins and needles appeared on her tongue, and it started to feel numb.

If this continued, Celeste would be suffocated.

Her mind went blank.

She struggled to push Gary away.

However, Gary's arms were clamped tightly around her and he wouldn't let her go.

Gary did this for ten minutes.

It was not until he finally finished kissing Celeste that he let her go.

Their lips were red and swollen, their eyes were glazed over.

Gary leveled a meaningful stare at Celeste, refusing to blink.

Meanwhile, Celeste was panicking, a hurt expression formed on her face.

Gary couldn't stand to see her like this, but he quickly suppressed the emotion and he sucked in a deep breath.

Celeste was motionless. She looked blankly at the tall man in front of her. His eyes were deep and dark like the depths of the ocean, and his lips were pressed into a thin line.

That kiss had stolen Celeste's soul away, and she forgot how to speak.

Gary remained silent as well.

He stared at Celeste's red and swollen lips. They were wet and slick, and one could tell what happened at a glance.

Gary took a deep breath and was also frightened by his inability to control himself.

A faint blush appeared on his face, and he felt very embarrassed. He found it hard to speak to Celeste.

Embarrassed, he turned to leave.

"I'm sorry."

Nevertheless, Gary still apologized.

His previous anger had all but disappeared into thin air.

All that was left was embarrassment.

However, Celeste ran to him as he approached the door.

Gary's entire body stiffened as Celeste hugged him from behind.

He turned his head slightly to see that Celeste had buried her face into his back.

Sure enough, Gary felt warm liquid wetting his back through his sweater.

Stunned, Gary narrowed his eyes at her.

Pain surged through his chest like a roaring wave.

Tears rolled down Celeste's face the moment she hugged Gary.

She knew that he kissed her because he loved her deeply.

He loved her.

At least it proved that her relationship was pure and clean.

Hence, Celeste thought it was worth it.

However, Gary was unable to smile when he heard her well-wishes. He looked at Celeste's expression and thought of how he wouldn't have her by his side in the future. His entire body filled with sadness at that thought.

How did he lose Celeste?

Gary scoffed in self-deprecation, "Right. Thanks for your blessing."

After that, he turned and left.

Looking at him leave, Celeste felt that he looked even more tired.

After he left, he did not return for the rest of the night.

Celeste did not sleep well that night, and she felt woozy.

Her suitcase was placed in the corner of the room.

Celeste was awake by four am.

She felt like last night was the final goodbye.

Gary didn't come back, and she didn't want to wait any longer.

She wrote a letter to Grace before she dragged her suitcases away.

The weather was cool, the wind was quite chilly as Celeste stepped out of the Jones family's home.

Celeste wrapped herself in a large coat and walked out with her luggage in tow.

She hailed a cab after she left the house, and it arrived in no time.

It was still dark as Celeste's car disappeared out of sight.

Meanwhile, Gary came back at 7 o'clock in the morning. When he entered the room, there was no one in sight.

He froze in astonishment.

He stayed out the entire night, trying to sober himself up. It wasn't easy for him to calm his emotions down to face Celeste, but she was missing!
