"Why?" Alice frowned as she said. "If he's willing to bear all the costs alone, isn't he a fool? I've already paid for it, but now he's returning it? It's like throwing up the food that was already eaten."

Jensen was left speechless by what Alice said.

He couldn't say anything for a long time.

"Officer Charm." Alice came back and approached him with a sharp look. "I'm a very wary person, but I'm not stupid. This doesn't make any sense."

"Ha- ha." Jensen smiled gently. Although he was smiling on the outside, his heart was actually tangled with emotions. This girl was too smart.

"Your smile seemed insincere, and I hate this kind of laughter the most. This is obviously just for show," she noted in an icy voice.

"Now, am I allowed to send you there?" Jensen asked, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to visit my sister."

"What happened to your sister?"

"She's been poisoned by a snake venom."

"How did that happen?" Jensen was shocked. "Why wasn't I informed about it? Is Heinz Jones aware of this?"

Alice was rather distraught. When she thought of her sister being hospitalized due to poisoning, she became even more agitated. "Don't ask any more. You can come with me."

"Let's go." He said immediately.

They got in the car together and went straight to the hospital.

As soon as she entered the hospital ward, Alice frowned as she noticed the bodyguard standing at the door from a distance.

Jensen followed her from behind, and the two of them soon arrived at the door.

The bodyguards didn't recognize Alice. Lester has changed his shift with Alex Logan. It was Alex who was standing guard at the door.

He stopped Alice, but said to Jensen respectfully, "Officer Charm, why are you here?"

"Where's your president?" Jensen asked.

"He's inside," Alex answered.

"I want to go in," Alice said in a harsh voice.

"May I ask who you are?"

"This is Miss Smith's sister," Jensen explained. "Can we go in?"

"I'll go and ask," Alex politely replied. "Please wait a minute."

He knocked on the door.

A voice sounded from inside, "Please come in."

"President, Officer Charm and Miss Smith's younger sister are here."

Heinz frowned and glanced at Grace.

"I've told my sister," she admitted guiltily.

Heinz nodded. "Let them in."

Alice rushed in immediately as soon as he finished speaking.

Grace immediately smiled and said, "Officer Charm, it was an accident. Heinz was bitten because of me." "Why was it caused by you, Sis?" Alice said, "If you were with him, how did you even encounter a snake?"

"We went to the top of the hill for a ride."

"Encountered the snake on top of the hill? Whose idea was it to drive there?" Alice asked immediately. There was a tinge of doubt in her tone, and her eyes were as sharp as a knife as she glared at Heinz.

Grace knew that her sister wanted to make Heinz take the responsibility, so she immediately cut in. "Alice."

"Don't worry about it, Sis." Alice stood up and walked towards Heinz. She looked at him who was sitting on the bed and said in a deep voice, "You took my sister to the top of the hill for a ride. How did you get bitten by a snake and why did my sister suck the snake venom out? Are you even a man? Why did you put a woman into such a dangerous situation when you can't even protect her?"

Her words were filled with displeasure.

Heinz didn't say a word. He just looked at her and didn't refute her words.

The more Alice thought about it, the angrier she became.

"Who are you to make my sister risk her life for you? Heinz Jones, you're so shameless. You've made my sister..." Alice scolded without hesitation.

"Alice!" Grace realised that she was going to say something regarding Little Gary and she immediately stopped her.

Her voice and attitude were all very stern.

Alice cut herself off. She pursed her lips, glared at Heinz again, and snorted to express her dissatisfaction.

"You're right. It's my fault that Grace was poisoned," Heinze suddenly apologised in front of all three of them.

His attitude was beyond everyone's expectation. Jensen hadn't expected him to admit that he'd made a mistake in public.

What an unexpected sight.

He hesitated for a moment and looked at Heinz. From their conversation just now, he knew that Heinz was bitten by a snake, and Grace sucked the snake venom out of his blood, which was how she got poisoned.

"What's the use of admitting the mistake? Can you turn back time?" Alice shouted again.

"Alice!" Grace shouted again.

Alice's eyes suddenly turned red. "Sister, what's so good about this man? It doesn't matter if you don't want him. He doesn't know that you've sacrificed more than just your life!"
