Chapter 268 novel Mr. Jones Be Gentle (Grace)

"You—¹¹ Alice was anxious. "How could you be so despicable? You're threatening me, aren't you?"

"Well, I have a reason for threatening you. However, you threatened me without any reason just now! A groundless threat! Who is more despicable now, Alice?" Jensen said.

Her eyes were wide open. Looking at him with clear eyes, she said furiously, "You are shameless!"

"So are you!" He was not agitated, instead, he said with a smile, "I like you, Alice. If I did not do this, you would never allow me to approach you."

Alice was stunned. He was right.

Jensen then said, "It was so difficult for me to get a chance. How could I not make good use of this golden opportunity? Don't you think so?"

"What if I don't agree to it?" Alice pursed her lips.

Jensen fixed his eyes on hers and smiled faintly without trying to hide his interest toward her. He said, "Then I'll have to tell Heinz. If I can't keep my girlfriend by my side, I can't be losing my good friend too, right?"

"You..." she was trembling with anger.

"If I could win your heart, losing a friend is not a big deal at all. It's normal for men. What's more, I'm not a saint, so it's understandable."

"You're sick." Alice pursed her lips. "You're nothing but a despicable and cunning person."

Jensen had a faint smile on his face. He said in a calm voice, "So, is it a yes or no?"

"You're just coercing me," she protested.

"Yes," Jensen shifted his gaze down at Alice's face and said, "I'm not going to deny it. If you agree to be my girlfriend, I don't mind being overbearing. After all, don't women like overbearing men?"

"You... you..." Alice was too incensed to speak.

"Calm down, say what you want to say. Take your time," Jensen chuckled, "I'm a patient man."

"Jensen Charm! How could you do this to me?" Alice exclaimed.

"That's just how I am," Jensen smiled and said. "You'll slowly get to know me. I think I'm not too bad of a person."

Alice gritted her teeth in anger."No matter what, I won't be your girlfriend. Never!"

"Alright," Jensen nodded. "I kind of expected this. But can you tell me why?" He seemed very calm.

"There's no reason for it," she responded.

"Could it be, you look down on me and think that I'm not a good match for you?"

"I just don't need a boyfriend," she growled again.

"You don't need a boyfriend? So it's not my problem, huh?" he said.

"Yes," Alice nodded. "I don't need a boyfriend. It's not just you, I don't need anyone."

Jensen narrowed his eyes. He stared at her for a moment, with strong emotions in his gaze.

"Why?" His voice felt slightly restrained.

His gaze was so intense that Alice could feel his strong interest in her.

She turned her face to the other side so that she wouldn't face him and said coldly, "That's just how I am. I'm not fond of men and I don't need any man in my life."

"Is it because you've been hurt deeply by a man?" he asked.

Alice was frozen and her face turned white. Painful memories slowly emerged in her mind.

She pursed her lips and said, "Stop asking. I won't be your girlfriend."

Jensen was stunned for a moment. He looked at her with a deep gaze. "Okay, I'll leave now."

"Get the hell out of here," Alice chided.

"I was going to leave, but it seemed that you're the one who didn't want me to leave," he said.

"You b*stard." She looked at his handsome face exasperatedly. She could not fathom why he was behaving so despicably.

"Now I understand you better, Alice. You are not a woman of words, you are a woman of action!" he said with a grin.

He curled his lips, his smile looked flirtatious.

"Let go of my foot," Alice growled in a low voice.

"Why would I?" Jensen smiled. "Not only I'm not letting go, I'm going to hold you tight and..."

He paused slightly and suddenly gave her leg a pull.

Alice lost her balance and fell backward.

Jensen quickly had a grip on her legs and held onto her waist, supporting her.

"Be careful. If it weren't for me, you would've fallen down."

As he spoke, he smiled wickedly. Carrying her in his arms, he proceeded to put her on the bed.

When Jensen lowered his head to hold Alice, he could see her eyes were burning. "How dare you do this to me, Jensen. I'll bite your flesh off!"

"Haha, bite me?" He curled his lips and said, "Which part? My lips?" He looked at the little woman before him, who was so abashed that she had become infuriated.

Feeling even more anxious, Alice straightened her neck, lifted her face and said with a snap, "Fine. Deal. Now you can let me go."

"What deal?” he tried to confirm it for fear that he had heard it wrongly. There was a glimmer of hope in his eyes.
