Jensen Charm seemed very defensive when he said, "Unlike you, I'm a patient gentleman."

Heinz Jones snorted and said, "You're not any better than I am. I don't think that you're a gentleman. It's your ability that is in question."

"Scr*w you," Jensen cursed.

Heinz took a deep breath and said, "Okay I'm going to hang up. I'm going to lunch now."

"Okay."

After hanging up the phone, he left the room immediately.

The moment he opened the door, he saw Grace Snith sitting at the table. She was staring at him with a hint of doubt in her dark and bright eyes.

Heinz was a little worried as he walked over and sat down across her. He said, "You should eat first. You didn't have to wait for me."

She looked at him and smiled, with a trace of surprise in her eyes.

Grace thought it was rather strange. Why did he have to go into the bedroom when he was talking to Jensen on the phone? Were there any secrets between the two men that she shouldn't know?

On the other hand, Grace realized that she was too narrow- minded for thinking that way. It was obviously a matter of privacy. No matter how intimate they were, everyone was entitled to their

own privacy.

She immediately convinced herself not to be so paranoid.

"Let's eat," Grace said, while serving him a bowl of chicken soup. "I cooked this in an electric pot. I didn't get to boil it for too long. Are you going out after lunch?"

"I've made an appointment to meet with Jensen at 2 p.m.

"Oh," Grace nodded and asked again. "Do you still have to go to the hospital?"

"Yes," he said. "Don't wait for me for dinner. I'll be back late."

"Okay."

"By the way, where are Little Gary and the others?" Heinz remembered the children all of a sudden. "Do you want to go over to my place to accompany them?"

"No, it's fine," Grace said, "I thought of accompanying them, but you could tell that he is a very independent child. I also want to train him to be independent."

"Alright," Heinz said softly, "You're not feeling well, so you shouldn't move around too much. It's best to rest."

The both of them then ate together. Heinz ate quickly. At 1:40 p.m., he had already changed into his clothes to go out.

Grace followed him to the door.

Heinz grabbed her and pressed her against the door to kiss her hard.

He was only satisfied after she started to lose her breath. He looked at her deeply and said, "Have a good rest, okay?"

"Okay," Grace nodded and said.

Heinz met Jensen at the hospital at 2 p.m. Jensen offered him a cigarette and said, "Have one."

Heinz didn't refuse it. After both cigarettes were lit, they smoked beside the car.

The handsome men looked a little melancholic as they smoked next to each other.

After Jensen blew out a mouthful of white smoke, he looked at Heinz and asked, "What do you plan to do?"

Heinz took a drag on his cigarette and exhaled a mouthful of smoke. Then, he said in a deep voice, Tve thought seriously about this matter. I can't tell Grace about it for the time being."

"But what if she thinks that you are lying to her?" Jensen asked. He was also worried. However, when he thought about it, he too believed that Heinz shouldn't tell Grace the truth for the time being, "You can't tell her. If she knows that Jodie and you-"

"Jensen!" Heinz said in a deep voice, "That's why I need to keep this a secret."

Jensen pursed his lips and said, "Mate, I can keep my mouth shut, but I'm not the only one who knows about this matter. Someone else might find out about it and tell Grace." "Let's only talk about it if that happens," Heinz said. "Ah!" Jensen sighed and said, "I feel guilty already." "That's between me and Grace," Heinz said solemnly.

"Well, could you differentiate it clearly? Your feelings for Jodie and Grace," Jensen asked.

"The feelings are not the same," Heinz said without any hesitation. "Both feelings are essentially different."

"Aunt Stone, we've just arrived not long ago," Jensen said. "I'm here to visit Uncle Lawson. I just found out earlier today from Heinz that Uncle Lawson had an operation. So, we came together."

"I see," Chief Stone sighed and said. "At this age, his health deteriorates by the day."

"Aunt Stone, you must take care of your health as well."

"I'm fine," Chief Stone said, "Nathan is in the ICU so you can’t visit him now. You could visit Pearlyn instead. She is in the ward. I was about to bring this medicine to her."

The three of them then walked to the ward together.

"If Jodie were still alive, they would be the couple envied by everyone. They would probably still be in good health and enjoying the best of days of their lives. However, without Jodie, their days are riddled with troubles," Chief Stone said with a sigh.

Heinz remained silent.

Jensen nodded repeatedly and said, "Yes, Aunt Stone. If Jodie were still alive, Aunt Drake and Uncle Lawson will at least have some comfort and support."

"Look at what happened after Nathan forced her to go abroad!" Chief Stone said. Then, she happened to glance at Heinz, who was silent, and she seemed to realize something. She immediately said, "I've talked too much. I'll stop here."

Jensen smiled and looked at Heinz.

Heinz looked calm and emotionless as he followed them into the ward.

Pearlyn Drake was lying on the bed while the caregiver attended to her. She was placed in a single unit ward. Everything had been arranged with much thought.

As soon as she saw Heinz, Pearlyn immediately gestured for the caregiver to help her sit up.

"Heinz, Jen, why are you here?"

"Aunt Drake, we are here to visit you," Jensen immediately stepped forward and said.

When Pearlyn saw them, her eyes turned red again, almost crying.

Chief Stone sighed and said, "Pearlyn, don't cry anymore. Your body wouldn't be able to take if you keep crying like this. I have told you many times. You shouldn't be too emotional. Why won't you listen to

me?"
