One of the sneaky men scoffed, "That stupid Officer Charm stopped us from getting rich. If we don't teach him a lesson, he won't know how powerful we are."

The other men instructed, "That's the woman, keep an eye on her!"

"Yes, Boss, don't worry."

Alice was in Jensen's arms and he gave her a squeeze. He said, "I still have half an hour before I need to get back to work. Are you going to campus or Hart Villa District?"

"I'll go shopping," Alice replied, "I have no classes in the afternoon, so I'm going to get some things."

"I can't accompany you," Jensen asked apologetically, "Alice, will you be able to go shopping on your own?"

"I didn't count on you coming to keep me company." Alice shot him a glance and continued, "You should attend to your own matters. Don't worry about me, I'll head off now."

"I'll send you to the mall." Jensen checked his watch and added, "I still have time to walk you there and come back."

"Well, okay." Alice did not refuse.

The two of them went to the shopping mall together.

Someone was watching their every move from a distance.

Fifteen minutes later, Jensen walked Alice to the entrance of the shopping mall and said, "Go on, take a taxi home when you're done."

"There's no need to take a taxi. I'll just take a bus." Alice was a student and she was very frugal.

Jensen took out his wallet and passed a stack of cash to Alice. He urged, "Here, take a taxi back after you finished shopping. I'm just a police officer but I can still afford to let my woman hail a taxi."

"You're such a man." Alice pouted and added, "Why do you have to be so stubborn? I don't want your money."

"Take it." Jensen ignored Alice. He fished out Alice's wallet from her pocket and put the money in it. He explained, "Alice, I'm a man. I should pay if my woman wants to buy something."

Alice felt helpless when she spotted Jensen's serious face. "Alright, I'll take it."

Jensen was happy to hear that.

They waved and said their goodbyes.

Jensen watched as Alice walked into the shopping mall before turning to leave.

Alice strolled around the shopping mall for a long time. She purchased some undergarments for herself and even bought two sets of underwear for Jensen.

Alice came out with her shopping bags and decided to check out the shops outside the shopping mall.

Alice did not notice that she was being followed by two young men. She stepped into the pedestrian zone but had yet to reach the crowded area.

Suddenly, someone grabbed her arms.

"Ah!” Alice screamed and shouted, "Who are you?”

However, no one answered her. Someone covered her head with a black bag and all her belongings fell on the ground.

Someone behind her smirked, "Pick up all her stuff. Don't drop anything or we'll anger Officer Charm."

Alice was shocked. The men who abducted her had something to do with Jensen?

Did Jensen offend them?

Her heart was racing but she could not break free. She wanted to scream for help but she was pushed into a car.

Soon, the car roared to life.

She did not panic when she sat in the car. She knew some self-defense techniques, hence she was not afraid of ordinary thieves.

However, the two men who kidnapped her were very strong.

She decided not to struggle too much for fear that she would be overpowered.

About fifteen minutes later, the car arrived at its destination.

The car drove into the alley after a lot of twists and turns.

Shortly after, the car door opened.

Someone shouted, "Boss, I've brought her."

Alice could tell that the men were skilled and they probably knew how to fight.

She had some self-defense skills but she could only handle amateur thieves or ordinary gangsters. Yet, these men seemed a little difficult to deal with.

Alice studied the surroundings. The gate was over twenty meters away and it seemed very far away.

She could not escape.

"It's against the law for you to kidnap me. You'll be held accountable for what you did," Alice warned.

A man exclaimed, "We have lost our only way of surviving, so what do we care? Get her!"

The men lurched at Alice and she was immediately cornered.

She was up against four men on her own.

A moment later, her arm was seized.

Alice struggled and snapped, "Let go of me!"

"Smack!" Carl slapped her on the face and landed another slap with the back of his hand.

Instantly, Alice's face was red and swollen. There were palm prints on both sides of her cheeks.

Blood was trickling down the corner of her lips.

The burning pain was indescribable.

"Little girl, you're as arrogant as Officer Charm," Carl chuckled, "We were being courteous but well toy with you if you're rude."

"Hahaha!" the other men joined in laughing. Their laughter was very sinister and obscene. A man sneered, "What a beautiful girl. Does a boring guy like Officer Charm even know how to have fun? Little girl, you should consider following our boss."

Alice spat, "In your dreams!"

"Hmph!" Carl snorted and walked over to Alice. He grabbed Alice's chin and growled, "Little girl, we don't intend to harm you. We just want you to deliver a message to Officer Charm. Be careful, everyone has their own families and friends, so don't make things hard for us!"
