"You're absolutely right." Heinz was very impressed with Hodge's observation. "I've learned the truth today. Those three are utterly useless."

Hodge sighed. "Mr. Philip was a good man. It's a shame that he lost his mother when he was young, and he was bullied by his step-siblings. He did not live a good life."

"You know so much about everything. You must also know that Master Lowe did not treat his ex-wife well, right?"

Heinz thought that Hodge must've known a thing or two about it since he had stayed there for a long time.

"About that..." Hodge hesitated for a while before replying, "I wasn't involved in the situation at the time."

"When I came here, I could only hear about it from others. I only found out about the truth after Master Lowe confessed to me when he was drunk."

"Oh?" Heinz raised his eyebrows and asked with great interest, "What did he say?"

Hodge sighed once again. "He said he regretted driving her away and being so harsh to her. Unfortunately, he was not able to find her again. He was full of remorse for driving his wife away."

Heinz paused. It seemed that Maxim really did regret it. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been so emotional to the point of vomiting blood when he thought that Marilyn's ashes had been scattered by Eva.

He regretted it, but he didn't want to admit it in front of others.

Maxim was willing to die for his pride.

"I've also inquired about it several times, but I couldn't find her in the end. Back then, transportation was not as advanced as it is now," Hodge continued. "This has always been a regret of mine, until Mr. Philip found out that I was helping Master Lowe to look for her. He personally asked me not to do so, which is why I stopped searching for Madam Marilyn."

"Why did he stop you?" Heinz was very surprised. "Didn't Mr. Philip want to find his biological mother?"

"No!" Hodge shook his head. "Mr. Philip said that the Lowe family has three wicked children, and he knew what they were like. His mother would suffer a lot if she came back. Furthermore, Master Lowe wouldn't have been able to balance the relationship between her and his children. If Master Lowe couldn't do that, there was no point in Madam Marilyn coming back."

Heinz felt surprised. This was completely out of his expectations.

It seemed that Philip fully understood Marilyn's difficulties at the time and had foreseen all kinds of possibilities.

"Mr. Philip didn't want his mother and sister to suffer, so he stopped me." Hodge sighed. "Since then, this matter has long passed. I stopped searching for her."

"I see." Heinz nodded.

"Help!" Eva's scream from outside was becoming louder and louder.

Alex came into the guard room with a cigarette and passed it to Heinz. "President Jones, Charles is here."

Heinz stood up and handed the cigarette to Hodge. "Hodge, I'm going to take a look."

He quickly went out.

He saw Charles getting out of the car. Charles immediately ran to the flower bed when he heard Eva's screaming.

When he saw Eva's condition, he was completely stunned.

"What the hell is going on?"

Heinz also came over. "Mr. Lowe, your sister suffered instant karma after spilling your grandmother's ashes. Look, the dust on the ground is the ashes."

Charles looked down and saw that there were a lot of ashes scattered on the ground. The urn had been smashed to pieces and there was a pile of debris.

Eva was lying in the rose bushes. While she was attacked by the swarm of bees in front of her, she let out a shrill cry.

"Help, Charles, help!"

Charles didn't care about anything else. With a grim expression, he took out a broom from the house and tried to drive away the bees.

Right then, the number bees seemed to have

multiplied and they began to attack Charles.

Heinz remarked, "Alex, we have no way to help them. Grandma must be angry, hence she must be taking her revenge. Even the bees are listening to her."

Alex immediately agreed, "Yes, President Jones. I heard that people suffer karma if they offend a dead person."

"Isn't this retribution?" Heinz calmly took Alex to a safe place.

Their conversation had stunned Charles. He felt a chill run down his spine.

Eva did not answer.

"Was it because of you?" Charles' voice grew even louder. He was already feeling extremely uncomfortable and irritable after being stung by the bees. This made him grow even more impatient.

"How would I know if it's because of me?" Eva

retorted angrily. "He has already lived for ninety years. How many more years does he want to live?"

"Shut up," Charles shouted angrily, "No one in the family can save you now. If I hadn't helped you just now, you would still be outside getting stung by bees. Look at you now; you look like a ghost."

Eva's clothes were ragged from head to toe. There wasn't a single piece intact, not to mention her whole face was covered in wounds. She really did look like a ghost.

Seeing her like this, Charles was so angry that he couldn't even express his anger.

"Since the bees are gone, I'll send you to the hospital and visit Dad while I'm there." Charles opened the door and did not see any more bees.

He wiped his face and felt a great deal of pain. He then took a deep breath.

"Charles, I can't sit," Eva wailed, "I've been pricked all over. It hurts so much."

"You're too impulsive," Charles looked at her and said. "You scattered Aunt Marilyn's ashes. Now we have completely offended Zachary."

"Charles, they made me do it." Eva did not regret a single thing. "If I didn't make a move, I would have been powerless."

"Our father has coughed up blood and yet you're still saying such things. What if it really is retribution?"

"That's impossible!" Eva shivered and exclaimed, "How could there be so much retribution!"

"Hurry up and follow me." They left the house, and just as they were about to ask someone to drive the car over, they saw three policemen walking towards them.

Hodge was leading Heinz and Alex in front of the cops.

"The police are here?" Eva exclaimed in surprise.

"They called the police?"
