This was common sense, and Heinz knew it. It was just that things hadn't gone the way he planned.

Hermione continued to say, "If both parties keep hiding things from each other, then the marriage would never work. This is just my opinion that I'm sharing with you."

After hearing this, Heinz nodded and said nothing else.

In fact, as someone experienced, Hermione's words were frank and as sharp as a knife. It felt like they were ripping his wounds apart, one by one.

This made him realize that he had taken things too far.

"Then what do you think I should do now?" He looked at Hermione and asked sincerely.

Hermione smiled and replied, "Mr. Jones, can I ask you one more question?"

"Go ahead," Heinz said in a deep voice.

"Are you single now?" Hermione had intended to ask him if he was divorced, but changed her mind at the last minute as she feared that it would upset him.

"Of course." Heinz replied instantly, "I've just gotten the papers. That's why I'm able to stand in front of her now."

"Then I'm relieved. In that case, I can help you with peace of mind. If you were still married, I would have chased you off!" Hermione exclaimed.

Heinz frowned as he heard this. "If that was the case, I would be too embarrassed to be here right now."

"But Mr. Jones, when did you get the divorce?"

"Yesterday."

"Okay, look." Hermione sighed and laid the facts out for him. "Although we know how things are happening on the inside, those who aren't involved don't understand. You must remember that you're a famous figure in Northern City. How do you think things will look if you married Grace just a few days after your divorce?"

If it was in the past, Heinz would've said to hell with them.

But now, he couldn't open his mouth.

This was because he knew deep down that Hermione had struck the home run.

The reason he broke up with Grace was that he didn't want to hurt her. At that moment, it didn't make sense to marry her straight away if his intention in the first place was to protect her.

He was too anxious.

How could he be so rash?

Even though Grace understood his situation, he was still an important figure in Northern City. He couldn't take the chance by being so reckless.

Heinz was in disbelief at how thoughtless he was again!

Shutting his eyes tight, he tried to hide the regret in his face.

Seeing this, Hermione added, "Mr. Jones, both the kids are with you, so why are you afraid that Grace would run away?"

Hearing this, his eyes flew open and he locked gazes with Hermione's.

Seeing his reaction, Hermione smiled warmly and spread her hands outwards. "It is that simple."

"Thank you!" Heinz nodded. "If that's the case, then I'll leave Grace in your care. I'll be taking my leave."

"Alright." Hermione smiled. "Don't worry. She won't run away."

"Wait, are you her friend or mine?" Heinz couldn't resist prosecuting her for Grace.

In fact, Hermione didn't mind his skepticism. She just replied simply, "I just want Grace to be happy. I want the both of you to spend the rest of your lives together for the sake of the kids."

Heinz nodded.

With much awkwardness, she scanned the hallway outside. Much to her surprise, she didn't see Heinz.

Smiling mischievously, Hermione teased, "Grace, do you not want to see me? Or do you want to see Heinz that much?"

Grace shook her head immediately. She looked like she was still very conflicted on the inside. "Hermione, no, Heinz came by earlier so I thought you were him."

"Oh, I see." Hermione answered with a smile, "He actually came all the way to Julesburg to look for you. Obviously, this means that he regrets his actions. He must've realized he did something wrong. This is a good thing!"

"Hermione, everything's a mess." Grace didn't try to hide anything from her. "I really don't know what to do now."

"Grace," Hermione noted. "Forget about exercising. Let's go in and talk for a bit. Then, we can have breakfast together."

"You wanted to exercise?" Grace looked at Hermione in surprise. It was then that she realized that she had messed up. "Sorry, Hermione. I got up too early at five just now and went for a jog. I didn't think you'd want to exercise too.' "I wasn't up at five," Hermione sighed. "I only got up at six. Man, I was even worried that you would still be asleep, so I didn't come to wake you up."

Hearing this, Grace felt bad.

"Hold on, isn't five o'clock a bit too early?" Hermione studied her haggard face. "You couldn't sleep well?"

Grace nodded. "Yes, I didn't sleep well."

"Was it because of Heinz?"

"That's right."

Not hiding anything from Hermione, Grace went on to add, "I wanted to forgive him, but I thought that it was too hasty, so I didn't do so. The only reason I volunteered for this business trip was so that I could avoid him and get some time to think things through. Who would've thought that he would make his way down here? Seeing his face just drives me insane!"

"Isn't this what it is like to be in love?" Hermione smiled calmly. "Think about it. Wouldn't it be weird if you weren't mad at all? It's normal for you to be angry."

"Hermione, stop trying to comfort me." After thinking about Hermione's words, Grace handed her a bottle of water. "I'm just jealous of how you can make decisions so easily."

"That's because you haven't seen me crying secretly," Hermione noted with a faint smile. "But that's all in the past. Now, nothing can stop me."
