"Grace, are you okay?"

When Lowell saw Grace had not said a word and stayed in a daze for a long time, he asked concernedly.

How could she be okay?

She was startled. Then, she stared at him. What she saw was a boy who looked alike to Heinz and her at the same time.

Earlier on, she felt that Lowell resembled both Ernest and Little Gary somehow. Now, it was actually proven that they were indeed closely related to each other.

Because of their genes, that was why they looked similar to each other.

Half of the genes in Lowell were similar to Heinz since they were inherited from their father, while the other half were inherited from his mother.

Lowell turned out to be the younger brother of her and Heinz. This kind of relationship made her want to cry.

She gazed at him, who was also looking at her cautiously, and he was worried that she would abandon him.

Grace took a deep breath and calmed herself down. After a long time, she said, "Lowell, you don't have to worry about this. Thank you for telling me this, I know you have mustered up all of your courage to do it. You are an honest child, I hope you can continue to be honest when you grow up."

"Grace, are you sure you're not angry? Are you sure you won't blame me?" He asked. He looked at her with disbelief. He could tell that her mood had been affected by this, but her words made him feel touched.

Grace said softly, "I don't want to lie. I admit I feel very embarrassed and angry, but I don't blame you."

"I lied to you," he whispered.

She shook her head and said, "You are just a child, and you have no way to decide what others want to do. Although I can't be completely sure yet, I have roughly figured it out."

"You are my younger brother, and Heinz's too. Although this news makes me upset and uneasy, I know that you are not the one who should take the blame. I don't even know what your father and our mother should be blamed for." "After all, they had met each other before I got to know Heinz. Even if I was to blame them, I could only blame them for their misbehavior and their chaotic private life. That's all."

"You won't drive me away, will you?" He asked with expectation in his eyes.

She nodded and said, "I won't drive you away. You can live here peacefully. I will tell Heinz about this."

She nodded and said, "Okay, I'll go now."

After coming out of Lowell's room, she went back into the living room quickly.

When she reached the door, she found out that Little Gary and Ernest were eavesdropping through the door.

Grace furrowed her brow and asked, "Little Gary, Ernest, what are you guys doing?"

They were so frightened when they turned around and saw their mother standing there, looking at them coldly. Little Gary tilted down his head and said, "It's nothing. Heinz answered a phone call and then we realized something strange."

"What's wrong?" She couldn't help but ask.

He continued to say, "Mommy, something is about to happen in our family. You'd better make some mental preparations."

She was bewildered. She didn't know much about her son's thoughts. She looked at the child with a frown and asked, "What happened? What kind of call did your father receive?"

"Mommy, it seemed to be the call from our uncle- in- law," said Ernest. Just as he was about to speak further, Little Gary interrupted him.

He didn't say anything. His face darkened as he looked blankly at her. For a moment, no one knew what to say.

There was a heavy atmosphere in the room.

After a few minutes, she asked again, "What are you going to do?"

"What about you?" He asked. He was very distressed and had not made plans.

She shook her head and said, "I really don't know what to do now, but I know that we should not vent our anger on Lowell. It's not his fault."

Heinz also felt awkward, and he said, "It's your mother's and my father's fault. I didn't expect that we would have this kind of relationship in such a short time."

Who would have thought of it?

She nodded and said, "I didn't expect it either. It's too unexpected."

Outside.

The two boys stood outside, muttering. Little Gary suggested, "What's going on? How about we go and ask Lowell?"

"Good idea, let's go!" Ernest said as he nodded.

When they arrived at the door of Lowell's room, they knocked on the door and asked directly as soon as he opened the door, "Lowell, are you Heinz's son?"

Lowell was shocked, and he instantaneously asked back, "Who did you hear it from?"

"Heinz received a call saying that your name is Lowell Jones, so your last name is Jones!"

"What do you mean?" Alice asked. She was standing outside the room. When she heard that, she asked again in a sharp voice, "What do you mean by 'Lowell's last name is Jones'?"
