After sending Diego to the Carter family, Heinz was about to leave.

That was when he received a call from Alex.

"President, Xavier spoke rudely to Officer Charm at the police station yesterday with a very arrogant attitude. We found his address as well as the place where he held Miss Alice hostage previously, but Officer Charm has been suspended. The officer who collected the evidence is not one of us. We are afraid that there will be a slip-up, so we didn't dare to inform the police to deal with this evidence."

"Alex, where are you now?" Heinz asked sombrely.

"I'm right outside Xavier's residence." Alex looked up and answered, "Xavier has gone out. He lives behind Northern City University."

"Okay, keep an eye on him," Heinz said.

"President, Officer Charm has not resumed his post, so he can't arrange for someone to collect evidence. If this evidence can't be implemented, I'm afraid that we won't be able to collect it as time passes by."

Heinz finally came to a realization and he frowned while he exclaimed, "Sh*t, I've forgotten about

that!"

Alex fell silent.

"Give me a few minutes."

"Alright!"

Heinz quickly hung up the phone, turned around quickly, then entered the house.

Old Master Carter had just arranged for the butler to clean up a guest room for Diego. He was pleased when Diego told him he wanted to stay for a few nights. This meant that Diego did not regard himself as an outsider.

The two were sitting in the living room and drinking tea when Heinz entered with an anxious expression.

Old Master Carter looked up at him and frowned. "What's the matter? You look so anxious."

"I forgot about something." Heinz looked at Diego and continued, "Uncle Diego, the last time Jensen was kidnapped because of Alice, I arrested Xavier without an arrest warrant, and Miranda interrogated Jensen's boss in your name. Jensen has now been suspended."

Diego paused before nodding in acknowledgment. "Do you want me to intervene and let Jensen return to his post immediately?"

"No." Heinz shook his head and said, "I won't ask you to do so. After all, you have never abused your powers. I hope you can come forward and explain that you didn't interfere in the police station's internal affairs."

He was basically making the same request, and Diego knew Heinz had merely phrased it differently.

He smiled and remarked, "You used different words for the same outcome. Heinz, you're a smart one."

While speaking, Diego took out his phone and dialed a number. He then uttered in a deep voice, "Is this the Northern City police station? I'm Diego Quell. I'm looking for your boss."

The man on the other end replied something.

Diego said, "Tell him this is Diego calling."

After a while, the call was connected.

Diego then spoke again, "Yes, it's Diego. Old friend, it's been a while."

It seemed that the two were greeting each other.

Diego continued, "I have a matter to clarify. Recently, one of my subordinates used my name to interfere with the internal affairs of your police station. I hope you can verify this matter and tell everyone that I have not interfered with anything. I hope they can deal with this matter accordingly."

"Jensen was a good policeman."

"As far as I know, if compulsory measures are implemented on the spot, the officer handling the case can report to the person in charge of the unit within 24 hours and then go through the approval procedures. As for the regulation restricting personal freedom, the officer should report immediately after returning to the unit and go through the approval procedures.

"Even if you investigate it, he hasn't done anything to cross the line. It's obvious that someone was afraid of me and interfered with this matter."

"Great, thanks for the favor."

After Diego had hung up the phone, Heinz was surprised. He didn't expect that the man would actually help him. This would make things a lot easier.

"Jensen!" Terence was infuriated.

Jensen quickly added, "I'm going to get back to my work. Now that I've gotten back my post, can I resume investigating the kidnapping case?"

"I've handed it to someone else," Terence answered.

"Why do you not let me handle it?" Jensen asked. "Everything had been arranged by me. I will take over and handle the case quickly and effectively."

"Just listen to me and let someone else handle it," Terence repeated coldly. It was obvious that he was making things difficult for Jensen.

Jensen had no respect for his boss who did not hold his own ground. He could tell what kind of a person Terence was.

Jensen regarded him with disdain.

"Oh, really?" Jensen smiled. "Then, should I ask the superiors what they are going to do?"

These words were to remind the self- righteous boss that he wanted to bypass the immediate leadership and get some answers.

Terence stilled for a moment. His gaze was sharp as he questioned, "Are you trying to go over my head?"

From the looks of it, Jensen was dead set on going against him.

Jensen didn't usually behave like this, but this was a different case.

No boss who took others' work lightly could win his respect.

Jensen glanced at him and said, "As long as you're cautious, you won't die."

"What do you mean?"

"Director Allen, I was suspended because you had made a rash decision. I have resumed my position just as easily. I think that I did nothing wrong and I was upright. How can you be my leader when you have no sense of responsibility?"
