POV Samantha
The rest of the trip went well. Jon shook himself out of his bad mood quickly and was soon snuggling with me as we whispered to each other. Jules drove with Steph next to him. The rest of the couples in the van were snuggling and napping.
We stopped after a few hours for lunch and to stretch our legs. We ate a quick meal and then hit the road again.
{Did I do something wrong?} I felt Gavin link me.
I frowned and turned away from Jon so he wouldn't be able to tell that I was mind linking with someone.
{Of course not, why?} I replied.
{Both Jon and Troy told me to leave you alone at the last stop. If I upset you, I'm so sorry}
{No! I'm the one who's sorry. They are being overprotective asses. Please don't listen to them} I sighed.
{Oh! Good! I'll see you soon, then}
{See ya} I turned to Jon who was staring at me.
"Who are you linking?" he demanded.
"Gavin" I replied and he cringed.
"I know. I'm a jerk. I'm sorry" he said and I nodded.
I forgave him quickly though. I couldn't afford to have drama as we entered the Golden pack territory. We all sat up and quieted as we passed into their territory. The road seemed familiar to me as we drove and lost memories rose to the surface of my mind. I remembered playing in these woods with other children that were my friends. We passed my old elementary school and I smiled, remembering how I learned to read there.
Finally we pulled up to the large pack house. It looked much the same as I remembered. About the same size as ours but the new Alpha seemed to take better care of it than Alpha David did. It had been repainted and many repairs had been done. As we pulled up, I saw a large group of people waiting for us by the doors.
"We are to let Dad, Mom and the other van go first to do the introductions. They will signal for us when it is time. When we get out, let Stacy and I go first with Jules and Steph. The rest of you should stay around my sister behind us. Make sure that no one gets near her" Troy ordered and we all nodded.
I watched as a tall dark man greeted my parents with a redhaired lady.
"What are the Alpha and Luna's names?" I asked Troy.
"Alpha Lance. There is no Luna yet. That's his Beta Trevor and Emma, Trevor's mate" Troy answered.
Suddenly a huge blond man strode up to my father and shook his hand. Something stirred in me when I saw him. I felt uneasy but also excited. The man's blue eyes flash toward our van and locked on me. I knew that there was no way that he could see me. The van's window's were tinted so that no one, not even a werewolf could see in. I stared back in disbelief but then the man looked away.
"That was weird" Stacy commented and I nodded. Dad turned to us and nodded.
"Here we go. Don't worry sis. I'll take care of you." Troy promised.
He kissed my cheek and then helped Stacy out of the van. Jules and Steph followed them. Sean and Jon got out next. They helped Ash and then I started to get out. Jon smiled at me and reached in and picked me up. He lifted me out of the van as a loud growl surrounded us. Jon looked confused and set me down. Sean and Ash stood behind me as Jon and I followed the rest of the group over. I heard a hush as the pack sighted me. I could feel the Alpha's eye on me the whole time.
"This is my son Troy and his mate, Stacy" My dad began.
The Alpha shook their hands but didn't look away from me. The beta and his mate did a good job at welcoming everyone though. Dad introduced Jules and Steph and then turned to us.
"This is my son's Beta Jon along with my daughter's bodyguard Sean and his Mate, Ash" Dad continued.
The Alpha sighed and shook their hands as well but kept glancing at me.
"Finally, this is my daughter, Samantha. Some of your pack may recognize her. As you can tell, she is a powerful Omega. We saved her from this packs former Alpha. We will explain everything at the meeting tonight." my Dad said as he looked puzzled at Alpha Lance's reaction.
I shook Beta Trevor's hand and Alpha Lance growled again. He stayed silent as Emma and I shook hands. Both Trevor and Emma sighed when I touched them.
I turned to the Alpha and he stuck out his hand. I looked at it nervously but I knew that there was no way out of shaking it. I was afraid to touch him but I wasn't sure why. I took a deep breath and put my small hand in his large one. I felt waves of sparks in my hand and suddenly I was pulled against a huge chest.
"Mine" it vibrated as multiple growls were heard from my family and friends.
Beta Trevor chuckled uneasily, "Maybe you are just confused by her Omega powers." he suggested as he tried to calm the situation.
"I am not confused. She is mine. DON'T TOUCH HER!" he yelled.
Crap. How could this be happening? I wasn't supposed to have a mate. Suddenly, I heard all of our warriors rush over. This was going to be a blood bath if I didn't do something quickly. I used my powers to calm Alpha Lance and let it roll through all the werewolves around us. I heard a collective sigh and smiled. I eased away from Lance gently.
"It's okay. We will figure this all out." I pushed out of his grasp and suddenly was pulled back by Troy.
Lance looked enraged at this but I put up my hands.
"It's okay. He's my brother. He even has a mate. He's not harming me" I said gently and Lance seemed to calm.
"I'm fine, no one needs to fight. Alpha Lance means me no harm" I announced loudly to my pack and they seemed to relax.
"I will have some of my pack show your warriors to their rooms. Emma will show the rest of you to your rooms and the rest of my pack will bring in your luggage. Let's meet in the Alpha's office in an hour. We have much to discuss" Beta Trevor decided.
"Yes we do" My father agreed with a look of pure rage.
I eased over to him and held his hand. He calmed as we followed Emma upstairs.
"I made sure to put all your rooms on the floor together. Your warriors will be in the floor below you. I hope that they don't mind sharing rooms" Emma explained as she led us to the fifth floor.
"I'm sure that they will be fine" my mom assured her and she relaxed.
She showed us the rooms.
"This is Samantha's room. Sean and Ash, we put you next door to her with Troy and Stacy on the other side." she explained and I smiled.
"Thank you Emma." I said as I hurried into the room and shut the door.
I sat on the bed and buried my head in my pillow. I could hear Emma telling the others where they were staying. Exactly three minutes after she left the hall, there was a knock on my door.
"Go away" I called but the knocking just continued.
I sighed and opened the door to see Troy, Stacey and Jon standing there.
"What?" I snapped as I left the door open and walked back to the bed.
"What? Really? You want to tell us what's going on?" Troy demanded as Stacy shut the door.
Before she could shut it, it opened to reveal our parents along with Sean, Ash, Jules and Steph.
"I would like to know that as well" My dad added as they walked in.
Sean shut and locked the door. He and Jules stood by the door while everyone else sat or leaned on something.
"What do you want me to say? I think that he's my mate. There were sparks and everything" I sobbed as I began to cry.
Troy ran to me and scooped me up.
"Shh. It'll be okay. I'll take care of it." he whispered to me as he rocked me.
"How?" I demanded.
I didn't want a mate. I didn't want to leave my pack or my family. I didn't trust this Alpha. Alpha's could be cruel. They could hurt you whenever they wanted. I knew this from personal experience.
"We could kill him" Jon suggested with a dark smile.
"Hush! Don't say such a thing!" my mom replied but I noticed that the rest of the group didn't seem to think that it was such a bad idea.
"If you kill him, you would hurt Sammy" Mom pointed out and that seemed to change their minds.
"Fine, we won't kill him." Stacy agreed.
"But you could reject him" she added. Troy, Jon and Sean nodded.
"She could but that would hurt them both" Steph explained. Silence engulfed us. I thought.
"We have a month here. We need to help this pack, then at the end of the month, I'll reject him and we'll leave" I decided.
Jon nodded and smiled but the rest of the group looked concerned.
"I don't know, Sammy. The mate pull is strong especially after you've been together for a month." Stacy said.
"You will all just need to help him stay away from me" I answered.
They reluctantly nodded but they looked disbelieving.
"I don't know about this, princess" Dad said but I shrugged.
"Hopefully we can come up with a better plan in the meantime" I replied and he agreed.
"We are going to have to meet the Alpha and Beta soon. Let me get changed" I requested and Sean opened the door. He looked out and was startled to see someone.
"Can I help you?" he asked and we all rushed to see who was out there.
"I'm here to speak with my mate" A deep voice replied and I cringed.
Suddenly, everyone poured out into the hall.
"Sorry Alpha Lance but she wants to change before the meeting" My father explained.
