If she didn’t give up after this setback, she’d have to come groveling to him, and only then would he consider giving her a leg up. 

Winnie glanced at the group chat, her eyebrows arching slightly. After a long pause, she typed out a response as if dropping a mic, “Who said the show’s getting canceled?”
